Just before 10 PM on June 6, 2026, Bakersfield Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of two pedestrians struck by what a reporting party (RP) described as two security vehicles that intentionally hit the victims. One sustained major injuries while the other had minor injuries.
This remains an ongoing investigation at the intersection of Kern Street and Dolores Street in Bakersfield, CA.

Just after 1 AM on June 6, 2026, Bakersfield PD was involved in a short foot pursuit downtown near 19th and O Street. The suspect was apprehended at 19th and Q Street, where an assault rifle was recovered.

On June 5, 2026 Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded to La Casa Place in East Bakersfield around 10PM on secondhand information after a neighbor told the reporting party (RP) that two subjects forced their way into the house. Dispatch reviewed camera footage from 20 minutes prior to the call and saw no one. Deputies did clear the residence with a drone and K-9 unit.

Just after 10 PM on June 4, 2026, Bakersfield Police Department (BPD) officers responded to a call on Buckley Street (just off Ming Avenue) in Bakersfield, CA. A woman reported that a man was refusing to exit his apartment and that he was armed with a firearm.
After a brief call-out, the suspect exited the apartment a short time later. No injuries were reported.
