3yo, female, GSD mix — only 34 lbs! She’s a teeny girl and needs to put some weight on.

I read her notes that stated she was timid. She was at first, but warmed up very quickly. She is so loving and so affectionate, she constantly gives you her belly to rub. She could use some work on the leash. She’s a little nervous when you put the leash on, and she does pull out in public. She also was a little nervous when you take the leash off.

She ran around my backyard and had a blast. She really likes to hang out in one of the bushes to keep cool. I decided to let my dogs meet her. I have a 12-year-old male and a 2 year-old female. They both LOVED Sheep. Initially, she was a little shy, because my two-year-old dog can be a bit rowdy and playful. She warmed up quickly, and was eventually playing with my two-year-old female dog. She met two corgis and did very well with them.

I opened the back door to let her have full access to the house, she was very hesitant at first. After about 10 minutes with the door open, she came in on her own and seemed pretty comfortable.

She did not have any interest in treats, she mostly just wanted to be loved.

Full disclosure. This girl sheds a lot! I used the furminator on her for about 10 minutes before her bath and got off an insane amount of fur lol. I also washed her with a deshedding shampoo and deshedding conditioner and scrubbed her like crazy. She hates the water and tried to jump out of the bath multiple times. But we got through it. Her shedding seems to be under control now.

I love her so much and she’s the sweetest little angel. Please adopt her! She’s in one of the worst kennels in the shelter, AD 40. She needs to be seen!

There was a hurt crow at the school where I work. I have called Cal, they are not accepting birds. They gave me a few numbers to call none of which have answered. I am not sure what to do at this point, but I feel sick just leaving him here in the heat. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

This sweet and adorable baby’s life is coming to an end. The shelter will euthanize him in 24 hours without an adopter, foster, or rescue. The shelter has him marked as a dachshund mix, but he definitely looks like a corgi mix to me (I have two…)!

Sparrow went out for KCAS Doggy Day Out - Streets of Bakersfield but hasn’t received a post yet. However, when I spoke to his companion, she said he was a wonderful date and was a very mellow and sweet boy.
