THE TRUCK THAT LEVELED THE PLAYING FIELD 🏁

Before modern Spec Trophy Trucks dominated the desert, off-road legend Ivan "Ironman" Stewart had a vision. He saw the skyrocketing costs of racing and decided to do something about it. In 1997, he launched the ProTruck Racing Organization.

His mission? Build a spec class where deep pockets couldn’t buy a win—only pure driver skill mattered.

Every single ProTruck featured:
🛠️ A matched, spec chassis built right in El Cajon, CA
🔥 A sealed, identical 400HP V8 engine
🛞 Standardized suspension and weight limits
🚘 Fiberglass bodies representing Toyota, Ford, Chevy, or Dodge

The organization initially completed 45 chassis within its first decade, ultimately wrapping up production at 53 turnkey vehicles. Because they were built around a standardized, tightly regulated spec chassis blueprint designed by Ivan Stewart and Bill Savage, every single one of these trucks left the shop with identical foundations, regardless of whether a racer chose a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, or Toyota body kit to throw over the frame.

¡EL DÍA QUE MÉXICO HIZO HISTORIA EN EL OFF-ROAD! 🇲🇽🌵🏁

¡Un verdadero "Grito de Independencia" en pleno desierto! Hoy recordamos la legendaria hazaña de Juan Carlos Ibarra el "Tigrillo" Ibarra en aquella mítica San Felipe 250 de 1998. Con apenas 21 años de edad, este ensenadense se vistió de héroe y paralizó al mundo del automovilismo al convertirse en el PRIMER MEXICANO en ganar el primer lugar en la prestigiosa categoría Trophy Truck.

A bordo de un Chevrolet C1500 (el antiguo truck de Roger Mears) preparado en Ensenada, el "Tigrillo" hizo vibrar a toda la afición azteca. El icónico promotor Sal Fish no daba crédito a lo que veía ante la imponente victoria mexicana frente a grandes equipos como Terrible Herbst, Team McPherson, Don-a-vee entre otros.

Aquella carrera no fue solo un triunfo; ¡fue una auténtica fiesta nacional donde se demostró el verdadero poder y orgullo de los pilotos mexicanos! 🔔🇲🇽

🌵🏁 Total Desert Dominance! Let's talk about Robby Gordon’s legendary 1996 Trophy Truck season. 🏁🌵

Robby Gordon put together what many call a "masterpiece of achievement" in the desert. Driving his iconic white, blue, and red Valvoline Ford Trophy Truck, 1996 was the year Robby completely rewrote the off-road history books.

⚡ History Maker: He became the first driver in off-road history to win three consecutive SCORE races in a row.

🏆Two back-to-back seasons, two legendary drivers, and the exact same mind-blowing feat. Check out these numbers:

🔥 2025 Season: Alan Ampudia went on an absolute tear, winning 3 out of the 4 races (San Felipe 250, Baja 500, and Baja 400) to firmly cement his legacy.

🔥 2026 Season: Luke McMillin matches the history books by going 3 for 3 so far this year, capturing the exact same three consecutive trophy truck victories!

Both racers have now secured the elite SCORE Grand Slam, proving that they completely own the dirt. With the legendary Baja 1000 still looming on the 2026 schedule, will Luke pull off the clean sweep, or can Alan and the rest of the grid throw a wrench in the plans?

CONCRETED 3RD PLACE!🥉🌵

Huge congratulations to Concrete Motorsports Kevin Thompson/Harley Letner on an absolutely incredible race! Taking home 3rd place at the SCORE Baja 400 is no easy feat, but the team pushed hard through some of the most brutal terrains out there and proved exactly why they are always a force to be reckoned with.

As a truck driver myself, it's really frustrating when someone cuts you off. You aren't just saving a couple of seconds—you are risking everyone's safety on the highway.

Hopefully this situation gives him some experience so he can come back stronger and more focused.
