Carla’s is Oildales hidden gem. They just came out with a new Mushroom Burger and I gave it a try for lunch today. All in all, it’s delicious 🤤
Between the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, the spicey western burger, and the new mushroom burger, you’ll find something you love. These smaller burger joints are my favorite. They have much more on the menu, but these 3 burgers are my go to now. Let me know what you guys think down below.

The Tehachapi Loop has 18 tunnels in total, with Tunnel 9 being the ninth tunnel built as the railroad was extended from Bakersfield. This loop is a significant engineering feat and remains in use today, accommodating an average of 36 freight trains per day.

Hey guys! I’ll be using this page to post our train videos that I take with the kids. I’ll be changing the name here on Feb 6th, as we have to wait. I originally made a page called “The Tehachapi Loop” but Facebook is doing their thing and it’s having issues. This will be a hobby train watching page for myself and my kids to post our videos to.

The Tehachapi Loop was constructed between 1874-1876 by the Southern Pacific Railroad, with contributions from Chinese laborers.
The loop allows trains to gain elevation at a manageable gradient, rising 77 feet over a 1,210-foot-diameter circle.
