Sometimes the right place to begin again is the place that makes you happiest.
Neil Haque had tried weight-loss resolutions before. But in 2025, something changed. After his father suffered a stroke and struggled to walk, Neil found a deeper reason to move.
He began walking through Disneyland Resort — not chasing perfection, but simply trying to eat better, move more, and keep going.
At first, walking was painful. At 338 pounds, Achilles pain often stopped him after 20 or 30 minutes. But over time, those walks became a habit, a source of accountability, and a way to share his progress with his father.
By the end of the year, Neil had lost 75 pounds and was walking 5–6 miles a day.
But the bigger story is this:
Walking helped him find momentum again.
And maybe that’s where many of us begin — not with a perfect plan, but with a reason that matters.
What’s one place where walking feels easier, lighter, or more meaningful for you?
