Last year Mozell produced it's first full fledged spec spot for one of our favorite local brands, OLD BAY® Seasoning. A story of a thoughtful brother determined to surprise his hero. Thanks to the entire squad, most below, that helped create, shape and deliver this beaut.

Thank you to the incredible folks that made this happen! Mozell was honored to be among so many incredible creatives last night and specifically at a table with some of the area's top storytellers. We were lucky enough to nab four gold awards! It was equally exciting seeing our friends at the table, Brian Schneider Photographyand Early Light Media take home big awards too! Well deserved to good people.

I'm excited for what we can create in the future!

Thanks to everyone who asked about us who heard about the clipper mill fire. The warehouse sits right next to us, so it got scary for a few minutes. Our current intern, Young Andrew, nailed this shot while he was putting the hours in last night.

Happy Super Bowl day friends! Quick story..

One day, we were prepping our lighting set up as usual, walking through our blocking and planning out each take so we knew our next move, the next, etc. We're about 10 min out from main talent walking on. As I'm standing in, asking Joel and Z for their opinion, Tom B walks up and just introduces himself with a smile. Holy, yeah. I welcomed him on set - After taking time to work with him, he was always so present, willing to do better takes and involved in the iterative process. He would visit monitor and evaluate with the team. I don't know who he is in life but for those few hours we worked together, it was refreshing working with a celebrity that was genuine and cared.

We filmed the sleeping sessions and his interviews, not the motion graphics or field/snow content. UA post-production.

What team Mozell learned in the mountains of Peru:

-There are are tiny, boxed in motorcyle tonka-truck hybrids that overtake the roads in Lima.
-Don’t try to find pizza in Peru - you’ll end up at a pollería with a grocery bag of (delicious) french fries.
-Warning: the excessive, almost invisible speed bumps in Peru will total the undercarriage of your car.
-Acute Mountain Sickness is basically death - you can’t breathe with a headache while feeling nauseous.
-Mosquitoes can’t live in high altitudes but annoying horseflies can. Wtf?
-Chicharrón is pork meat and it’s delicious on a sandwich with sweet potato and onion.
-75º when the sun is out and 20º when it’s hiding! Literally frozen tents, people.
-Dogs. Dogs are second class citizens. Don't steal their trash.
-Guinea pig is a delicacy, enjoyed by Peruvian families every Sunday.
-S**t storms are real. Cow and donkey patties for days.
-Peruvian children are immune to fireworks, even when flying out of paper mache charizards.
