A Black nurse was told to bleach her skin white so patients would be nice to her at her job. Adelaide Kweyama, is a black nurse who works at an
immigrant removal centre. After reporting in 2019 that a patient racially abused her, he hurled an insult about lightening her skin.

Then her boss proceeded
to make hateful race related comments to other staff
members. This was not the first time a racial related incident had happened and been reported by
Kweyama.

According to Daily Mail, a senior nurse told Kweyama, "You need to get a pool of bleach and bleach your skin
so that you come back tomorrow white and the patients will be nice to you." Kweyama says "I felt very
insulted, discriminated, bullied, harassed, and abused.

After suing the NHS, Kweyama has won over £25,000 which is equivalent to a little over $30,000 US Dollars.

🚨..please don’t forget to SWIPE and keep in mind, the man has addmittedly NOT APOLOGIZED! — Texas Tech has suspended pending an investigation following an “inappropriate, unacceptable, and racially insensitive comment” made to a player last week.

Adams told Stadium that the comments he made were not racist, and that he was quoting a Bible verse when he told one of his players that there is “always a master and a servant.”

“I was quoting the scripture,” Adams told Stadium. “It was a private conversation about coaching and when you have a job, and being coachable.”
“I said that in the Bible that Jesus talks about how we all have bosses, and we all are servants,” Adams added. “I was quoting the Bible about that.”

Adams, 66, addressed the team the following day, but said it was to explain the situation. He said he did not apologize.

“One of my coaches said it bothered the player,” Adams said. “I explained to them. I didn’t apologize.” 🤔

A Philadelphia is no longer allowing customers under the age of 16 to dine in their establishment. 16 and under year-olds are still allowed to come inside and purchase food, but they all must take it to go.

"To those unaccompanied children and teens that have visited us and acted appropriately, we thank you. But we also apologize. Due to the numerous extreme behaviors of many of your peers, we must make a blanket rule covering anyone under the age of 16."

Chick-fil-A concluded their announcement with a message to parents: "Parents, we are not blaming you. Children and teens are learning to navigate the world free from supervision and often push the boundaries. We simply can’t let them push those boundaries anymore at our restaurant. A daycare facility was broken into by an off-duty POLICE OFFICER who was DRUNK and couldn’t remember his address nor where he parked. The owner, a Black woman, got an alert that there was an intruder and she dispatched 911. When they arrived, they attempted to persuade her NOT to press trespassing charges.

I wonder if it was because it was his sergeant who arrived, because he was white or because he was a police officer?? Or maybe it was ALL THREE?! What say you, ?!

Born free in 1731 on a to***co farm in Maryland, Banneker, a self taught mathematician and astronomer, gained noteriety for building a clock out of wood at age 22.

Banneker’s love for math, puzzles, and problem solving led him to making astronomical calculations that would accurately predict solar eclipses.
_
Banneker also published yearly almanacs from 1791 to 1802. Throughout his achievements in math and astronomy- Banneker’s clock kept precise time until his death in 1806.

Matthew Alexander Henson is said to be the first man- black or white, to reach the North Pole.
_
Born August 8, 1866 in Maryland to free parents, Henson became an orphan at a young age. By the age of 13 he took on a job as a cabin boy beginning his lifelong adventures etched in history.
_
At the age of 19 he met a Navy engineer named Robert Peary. They would go on to spend over two decades together exploring the world, most notably, their Arctic explorations.
_
Henson led these explorations with his expertise and knowledge. He was fluent in the Inuit language Greenlandic Inuktitut. Nicknamed Maripaluk, “Matthew the Kind One”, he was known as a friend of the Inuit people.
_
Due to racial divide, Henson did not receive much recognition for his exploratory contributions until a half century later.
_
In 2000, Henson posthumously received the National Geographic Society’s highest honor, the Hubbard Medal.

February 15, 1968, Henry Lewis became the first African American director of the New Jersey Symphony making him the first black conductor of a major American orchestra.

Lewis began his musical studies at the age of five. By the age of 16 he played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. He conducted while serving the US Armed Forces in Germany. His musical career spanned over 40 years until his passing in 1996 at age 63.

During his time as a prisoner, Mandela was allowed a visitor once a year and he could write and receive a letter once every six months. About four hours on the day of his release he stood before thousands He went on to become the first black president of South Africa in 1994 and continued his lifelong work of peace and social advocacy until his death in 2013.
