I’m officially exploring Adjunct Faculty opportunities in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, and Community Practice. 🎓💜

I’ve been a Field Instructor for Morgan State’s MSW Program, spent 10+ years in clinical practice with MedStar Health and Total Health Care, and I’m the Founder & Clinical Director of Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services, now 8 years strong.

I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned in Baltimore’s classrooms, clinics, and communities — and bring it directly to students.

If you know schools hiring adjuncts, drop a comment or send a message. 🙌🏾✨

Excited to share that I’m currently exploring Adjunct Faculty opportunities in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, and Community Practice.

With experience as a Field Instructor for Morgan State University’s MSW Program, over 10 years of clinical practice with MedStar Health and Total Health Care’s Center for Emotional & Social Health, and 8 years as Founder & Clinical Director of Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services, I’m ready to bring my teaching, clinical, and community expertise into the classroom.

If you know of openings or programs looking for experienced practitioners and educators, I’d love to connect.

Baltimore has always been my “why.” 🖤

to Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle ‘s Legislative Advocacy Day in 2019 — when I was serving on the PCAB-Parent and Community Advisory Board for Baltimore City Schools and all three of my children were Baltimore City Public Schools students.

Dayvon Love, Public Policy Director at LBS, invited me to join this panel with Jamal Jones and Khalilah Harris, EdD, JD. The three of us had already spent years working together — because in 2017, the four of us co-founded the Coalition of Black Leaders in Education (CBLE).

CBLE was born out of a shared commitment to education justice, family–school partnership solutions, and amplifying the voices of Black families in Baltimore’s policy landscape. This panel was part of that broader movement — organizing in community spaces, church basements, board meetings, and legislative rooms to push for real accountability and equity.

That work shaped Baltimore’s education justice ecosystem in ways people still feel today. ✊🏾

“My mother had a lot of different men in and out. People would come live with us. We were always moving around. I counted the places we lived at one point, and it was over twenty-five. It was chaos, emotional chaos. The not knowing where you’re going to live, not knowing if you’re going to be able to eat. Not knowing clearly what the f**k is actually going on. I moved out and got my own apartment when I turned sixteen. Went to Job Corps, finished Job Corps. Got my GED. By the time I was seventeen I was living by myself, going to college, I had a job. I was meeting a lot of people I would otherwise have never met. I’m proud of myself. I’m living up to my own standard. I made it through all this bu****it. I had enough power to do it. I had enough talent to do it. I felt like a super independent woman. There’s a joy of doing things on your own: the freedom, the not having to answer to anyone. Nobody you have to call and say: ‘Hey, it’s me. This is where I’m going, this is what I’m doing, this is when I’m going to be home.’ There’s also a pain of doing it on your own—and it happens to be that exact same thing.”

✨ The Legacy Table is where Black women step fully into their power—unapologetically, strategically, and together.

This is where vision turns into plans, and plans turn into legacy.

Where leadership isn’t just taught—it’s embodied.
Where healing becomes the fuel for bold, generational change.

If you’re building something bigger than yourself, if you’re carrying the stories of the women who came before you, if you’re committed to leading with purpose—this is your table.

💜 Where healing meets vision. And purpose becomes strategy.

When our kids are exposed to healing careers early, they start to see themselves as future counselors, therapists, and leaders.

That’s why I created Mindful Heroes: ABCs of Mental Health Careers.
Representation isn’t optional — it’s essential. 💜📚✨
