I'm a parent and I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child. It's a parents worst nightmare and unfortunately Chantell Bentley can't wake up from it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I count my blessings everyday for my family and friends. I hope you’re able to enjoy your loved ones, and make some memories this Thanksgiving.
Their mission is to help people battling addiction. Now Praising Through Recovery, Inc. is moving to the Next Level Recovery Mentorship. They’re providing women with mentors to bridge the gap and help them stay clean. So honored to support Lisa Bryson and her husband James with her non profit. She’s been clean and sober for 16 years.
Happy Veterans Day to all of the men and women who’ve served this country. Thanks for your sacrifice. A special shout out to my hubby, Lt. Col. Timothy Holloway. He served 30 years working as a Logistics Officer and today he took full advantage of the many freebies offered to veterans. Thanks to all of you for your service.
Homecoming weekend was a win for us, even though the Dukes lost. Our first parents weekend Duquesne University with Taylor is a wrap and there were no tears this time! She’s living her best life and we couldn’t be more proud. She’s also safely representing Baltimore Ravens on campus.
It hurts, but we all know someone who’s been touched by breast cancer. There’s a movement raising awareness about women in military being diagnosed in extraordinary numbers. See how they’re getting your attention.
Who needs the Caribbean when you can paddle the Middle River! Instead of boot camp with we took it out on the paddle in the fresh open air.
Cheers to two trailblazers. Two black women making and selling their own wine. Just the thought of Philosophy Wines may give you a buzz.
You know you’re of a certain age when your day starts with an updated booster, looking for eye glasses and a treat at Costco. At least we did it together.
It's the ending of an era. Queen Elizabeth has died.
BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, has died. She was 96 years old. https://abcn.ws/3DaAjXD
You know what’s scarier than going to the dentist, going to the Endodontics office! Nothing fun about having a root canal, but thanks to Dr. Lee, Crystal and his team at Hero Endodontics I didn’t even need a lollipop! Actually it was too many lollipops that landed me here in the first place. Hopefully the swelling goes down by news time. See you at 5!
There's a special teacher in Anne Arundel County who's been getting kids ready for school all Summer long.
Hey Facebook friends my baby’s off to college Duquesne University. This week has been an emotional roller coaster that’s why I haven’t been on your TV WMAR-2 News Baltimore. From the packing up her life, as she called it, to the move in, to the farewell it was tough and teary. Taylor’s in a good place as long as she stays true to the purple and doesn’t come back a Steelers fan! See you Monday.

A little piece of Maryland is taking broadway by storm. His name is Myles Frost and if you close your eyes you’d think he was the King of Pop. We saw MJ: the musical at the Neil Simon Theatre. From his voice and dance moves to his band and cast it was amazing! When it was over we were more than entertained, we had a better idea of what a perfectionist Jackson was about his craft. Frost was the icing on the cake.
We lost a trailblazer.
Nichols played Uhura in "Star Trek: The Original Series." At the time, she was one of the first African American women to play a major role in a television series.
Basketball is more than just layups and rebounds. A local business is showing kids the business of basketball off the court.
He was born and raised singing in Baltimore. While Davon Fleming is all over the world singing on a national stage with Jennifer Hudson these days, Baltimore is never far from his heart.
Davon Fleming’s voice will warm your heart. He’s a Baltimore native who made it nationally on “The Voice.”
Happy to all the dads out there. I think my husband Tim is a better dad for Taylor, because of what he’s learned from my dad. While some feel it’s always the moms who get all the glory on Mother’s Day, we know we wouldn’t be here without dear old dad. We love them just as much.
We have a high school graduate living among us. I didn’t shed a tear, but my chest did swell with pride as our family and friends joined us to celebrate Taylor’s milestone. On to the next chapter for the class of 2022 Notre Dame Preparatory School.
My heart is heavy this morning and it will be for the next few days. Graduation is Wednesday! But first, it was a weekend filled with beautiful Notre Dame Preparatory School traditions. From prom for the class of 2022, to the mother daughter brunch, it was amazing. The best is yet to come. Grab the Kleenex it’s going to be an emotional week.
We were covered in mud from head to toe! Our team was running, crawling and climbing in Montgomery County for the MUDGIRL Pink Army | US. Three members of our squad are breast cancer survivors and we wanted to show our support. I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m dirty, and stinky, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone out there who’s either a mom or serves in a “mom like” role. These days grandma, aunts, girlfriends are all stepping up, to step in. Thanks to my mom Patti Swoope for being the perfect role model. Being a mom is the toughest job you’ll ever love.
He's on the fast track and he's not letting anything stand in his way.
Jalen Dhanoolal’s goal is being behind the wheel as a professional race car driver.
Jalen Dhanoolal is a teen of color, living with autism and he's not letting either of those speed bumps slow him down. How he's overcoming obstacles to achieve his goals Thursday at 6pm!
With the school year winding down, the class of 2022 is celebrating their final traditions Notre Dame Preparatory School. The seniors sang their hearts out at their last spring concert under the direction of the amazing Mrs. Stacey Bilenki. The countdown to graduation is less than a month.
It’s time to meet some of your candidates for Governor. Join us tonight at Coppin State University.
Sometimes a win off the field is just as touching. Congratulations to Samantha White. She was a stand out Lacrosse player at Dulaney High School and now she’s a freshman doing great things at Northwestern University. She came home this weekend to face the University of Maryland. It was a thrilling game, but the Terps won 15-9. Off the field, it was a win and a homecoming for Samantha. She was surrounded by her parents Rick and Lisa White along with both sets of grandparents and a host of friends. She’s just a freshman, and played the whole game. Hats off to Samantha White.
It's decision time on my new headshots. What do you think? Do you prefer the tilt or no tilt?
Instead of bad news, I'm highlighting some kids that are doing great things. They're being recognized on a national level for their work with STEM. The future is bright after what we witnessed this weekend. Nearly 300 students of color were recognized as they graduated from Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. My daughter Taylor was among the group representing the Baltimore Chapter. There were students heading to Stanford, Columbia, Duke, Spellman, Hampton, Yale and Harvard to name a few. They want to be physicists, bio medical engineers, forensic scientists, lawyers, entrepreneurs and mine wants to be a speech pathologist. I was proud of all of them.
I never thought I'd be so captivated by a confirmation hearing. As an African American woman, I'm excited watching Supreme Court Nominee Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson courageously taking the hot seat. She's taking the questions thrown her way, and we've learned she's human. It was enlightening to see that even a mother as accomplished as she is, still deals with "mommy guilt." The feeling that sometimes in the challenge of juggling a career and motherhood you don't always strike the right balance. I wouldn't want to be in that seat, but I'm glad she is. Whether she's appointed or not, she's already made me proud for so many reasons.
It’s Women’s History Month and there’s a young woman in Baltimore who’s leaving her magic touch all over town.
Megan Lewis knew by the young age of 6 that she wanted to be an artist.
It's Harriet Tubman Day in this Women's History Month. Could you do in 2022 what she did in 1850?

Military suicides are up by as much 20% compared to the same period a year ago. We’re raising awareness with the #22pushupchallenge. They’re not pretty, but I’m doing my share. Day five.
22 veterans take their lives each day. We’re raising awareness about a serious problem with a little sweat. It’s day three of #22pushupchallenge.
I love my veterans. I’m married to one! We’re raising awareness about suicide rates through the #22pushupchallenge. Danielle Rosier nominated me. I’m answering the challenge for the cause. I’ll post as many as I can.
Coronavirus quarantine got you down, how about a safe mother daughter outing. No where to go, nothing to do, how about a little driver’s training.
What motivates @NikWallenda to do all these crazy stunts? I’m sitting at my desk holding my breath as he walks on a high wire over a volcano.

Jamie Costello and I are really ready for Christmas! We're probably a little too much into the spirit of the season than Daniel Johnson and Katie Gallagher would like for on-aiir.
If you’ve never been to a MCW Pro Wrestling show, add it to your bucket list! This weekend I dragged the hubby out to the Jimmy's Famous Seafood Slamboree to benefit RJ Meyer aka The Bruiser. He’s battling leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. The building was packed with hundreds of people! It was standing room only. The show was quite entertaining but the crowd went wild when the Bruiser took over the ring.
