Hitting a pause in our Savvy Travels - finishing school, hosting dinners, and honing in our side hustles before traveling. And we’ve decided it’s not yet time to do a YouTube channel LOL I bet you all saw that coming. — one thing I’ve learned from my husband is to EXECUTE before I share with the world my vision haha! I’ve believed opposite - that I need to share to keep me accountable to execute. As bizarre as it sounds it’s so damning. Becuz once I shout to the world my vision I put too much perfection and pressure into it and then never execute bc fear of failure! Lessons learned on a Monday. 🤍

Portland, Maine you have our hearts... ugh and our wallets 😳🥰😂 we may have spent a healthy digit on breweries. Some of the best brews and pumpkin ales. Next stop: Mt Washington - then celebrating in Ogontz — then home and maybe edit our first YouTube video. Feels like it’s been months but it’s only been three weeks. It’s wild how time slows when you’re on the road. Cheers my friends!

We’re having the best time just “being.” We had this idea and dream to make a YouTube channel and we totally ran into some of the biggest issues. Wifi, data, signal, and battery power. All non existent 95% of the time. All things we’ve realized we’ve come up short on. Working has been complex to say the least. Pretty much every post is 2-4 hours late. Sometimes even 24 hours later than the actual post time. “Posting Failed. Retry?” Or “No connection, try resending in 30 seconds.” Have become my least favorite sentences. — we’ve put off our YouTube channel for good reason. When we finally DO have signal/wifi/battery we have to get to work and maximize our time with clients and paid work — not our own leisurely posting and such. We planned to be doing much more inland/mountain camping and overlanding. But overlanding on free sites are a hidden and a rare gem in the northeast. Unless ya wanna sleep in parking lots. A bit too sketch for my taste. So that’s why you’ve seen us in cities or on the coasts a bit more than expected. We’ve hit up sweet campgrounds, a family beach home, and a boutique hotel. We’ve enjoyed the unexpected “happy accidents” as Bob Ross would say. We’ve remained a bit unplanned and actually love wherever the journey takes us. Only one place on this entire trip was planned, all the rest is icing on the cake. - We most definitely have lots to figure out once we do our next tour. But for now, we’re just okay with the unexpected and for putting a hold on the YouTube channel until we have our bearings. Soon though! :) for now, we post when we can and will be creating a blog with all that we’ve found. We’ve started on it and I CAN NOT WAIT to share! :) until next time my friends! 🤍

With a clear perspective, there is beauty all around. I’ve pressed into the fact that when we open our eyes we can truly grow a greater appreciation for the smallest things.

We landed in Acadia National Park, right outside of Bar Harbor, Maine! The most beautiful sites with some beautiful people. Found a sweet site to camp, and some good beer — the leaves are falling, the air is cool, the sound of the Atlantic ocean wind is soothing. This place feels like it could be home. We 🤍 Maine. It’s one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. Cheers to the adventure ahead. 🚐

Hey friends!!! Man what a crazy first week of travel! We stopped first in Shenandoah National Park (and camped at Big Meadows campground. Very very beautiful. Rained the entire first 40 something hours we were there. But it didn’t defeat us & gosh, was that challenging. It was a beautiful start to our tour with lots of learning and expectations lowered.

We then trekked up north for Hampton Beach, NH to be with Jim’s family at a beach house right on the coast. We met up with our good friend and then traveled over to Beverly, Mass to visit another dear friends brewery — though we haven’t just yet “overlanded” what I’ve learned is that it’s alllll about the journey. Overlanding’s primary purpose is exploration and adventure travel. It’s not so much about comfort — is all about the journey and not the destination. It’s finding remote locations, experiencing cultures other than our own, and maintaining self reliance in unfamiliar territories. We can say we haven’t truly experienced this to the full extent just yet — we’ve hit some roadblocks. Jim has work during the week, as do I, and we haven’t yet figured out how to have a solid hotspot or WiFi. We need it as we travel. We’ve found ourselves feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, and frustrated. But then we traveled north from North Hampshire to eventually land HERE in Ogunquit, Maine. One of the most beautiful and cutest coastal villages I’ve ever seen. We had lobster rolls at Charlie’s and homemade ice cream at Scoop Shack. We met our first ever little YouTube fans who were so excited to follow along our journey. Though we haven’t released a video just yet — we’re still figuring out our pace. Our expectations have been quickly surrendered and we’ve realized there are some bumps in the road to figure out. It’s not at all what we expected.

One thing Ive learned, however, when we have a healthy perspective, there is beauty all around. When we open our eyes to it we can truly grow a greater appreciation for all that we’re surrounded by. It’s a small practice I’ve started recently.
