🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT: PEVELY POLICE CRACKING DOWN ON I-55 SPEEDERS 🚨

If you drive I-55 through the Pevely/Festus area, slow down and pay attention.

Pevely Police have launched “Operation Brake Point,” increasing enforcement in the active construction zone between Route Z in Pevely and Highway 67 in Festus.

Police say they’ve already issued nearly 80 citations and warnings over the past two months to drivers going 25+ MPH over the limit in construction zones.

And the numbers statewide are concerning:

1,900 work-zone crashes
16 fatalities
579 injuries
25 MoDOT safety vehicles struck

Police say this isn’t about ticket money — it’s about making sure everyone gets home safely.
