Last week, our team met with Corporal Lucas Watts and his family to deliver the tragedy response funds our communities helped to raise after Cpl. Watts was shot in the head while responding to a call.

“I want to thank everyone who made donations to Serve and Connect for Lucas and his family,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.

We are honored to have helped facilitate Cpl. Watts' tragedy response with our tragedy response partners, Oconee County Sheriff's Office - SC, South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police, SC Police Chiefs Association, South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers' Association, South Carolina Sheriffs' Association, South Carolina Troopers Association and everyone who donated to make this funding response possible.

We're amazed at how quickly and generously our community members rallied together to give the Watts family the kindness and relief they need.

We're so grateful for Cpl. Watts' bravery, sacrifice, and his growth in recovery. Thank you to all who worked to make a difference in the lives of the Watts family.

The WEHS Varsity Football team will face Ridgeland HS in the Leon Maxwell Jamboree at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School at 6:45 PM on Saturday, August 17th. We have tickets for sale in the WEHS Office for $10 (Cash only). All money collected from tickets sold at the WEHS Office will go directly back to WEHS Athletics.

Weather Update
Barnwell County School District will return to school on Friday, August 9th. Working together with Emergency Management officials, we have determined it is safe for our staff and students to return. We appreciate the understanding and patience of our families during this week’s changes to operations.
