Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. - Proverbs 27:1

If we aren’t in control of the future, what right do we have to boast about what the future will bring? The Word reminds you of how important it is important to focus on the present moment, knowing that the future is up to the Lord. Be mindful of how you are living your life today: are you making a conscious goal to please the Lord with what you do and say? Are you looking for opportunities to do good and share the gospel? Strive to be faithful with the time, opportunities, and resources that God has given you today, and then simply trust in Him for tomorrow.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. - Philippians 1:6

Salvation happens the moment you put your life in Christ’s hands, but the process of becoming more like Christ is a lifelong journey. When you accept Jesus, He begins transforming you from the inside out, melting away sin and turning you into the person He wants you to be. You’ll face challenges as you grow and mature, but God doesn’t leave jobs half-done; He promises to complete the good work He started in you. If you keep your eyes on Him, He will see you through any storm, and you’ll come out stronger for it. Through prayer and reliance on the Holy Spirit, you will continue to be transformed into the image of Christ.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. - Luke 6:35

It’s certainly hard to be nice to people when they aren’t good to you, but that doesn’t change what God’s word says about being kind. Christ commands you to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, especially when they don’t deserve it. In His darkest hour, Jesus even asked God to forgive those who were nailing Him to a cross. If you want to follow Him, live as He did, giving and expecting nothing in return. The Bible promises that whether in this life or the next, your reward will be great, and you will be called a child of the Most High.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. - 1 Corinthians 13:1

Love is a force that goes completely against our nature. You’re wired to please yourself, but out of love, you’ll care for someone else’s needs regardless of your own. Kindness is a wonderful thing, but if it isn’t rooted in love, what’s the point? Love is what sets Christ and His children apart from the rest of the world; we love because He first loved us. Pray every day that the Lord would give you opportunities to show kindness to people, and that He would give you the same love for them that He has for you. Showing that you care can brighten someone’s entire day, but it’s not about the act: it’s about the heart.

A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself. - Proverbs 11:17

Chances are you aren’t a malevolent villain with no regard for the feelings of others. Those kinds of characters are the ones you probably think of when you imagine a “cruel” person, but being mean is something we’ve all done. When somebody gets your order wrong or says something that pushes your buttons, it feels good to repay wrong with wrong. But in the end, hate just leads to more hate, and the cycle is bound to continue until someone has the grace to forgive. Be kind to others and show them the same grace that Christ shows you every day.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. - 1 John 3:18

Its easy to say kind things that you don’t mean. A simple “I hope you’re doing well,” or “I’m praying for you,” can go a long way, but only when it’s true. When you show kindness to people, you shouldn’t do it just to check off a box during your day; selfless acts come from the heart, and from your relationship with God. Love people, and care for them more than yourself. Pray with the people that need it and help to bear their sadness as a brother or sister in Christ. However, you decide to show true kindness to others, show it not just through words, but through your actions.

Today, we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact of his Christian faith and prayer. His unwavering belief in nonviolence and love for all people helped to bring about significant change and progress in the fight for racial equality. May we continue to follow his example and pray that God will use us to love one another as Christ loved us.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - Galatians 3:28

All human beings were created by God and are loved deeply by Him. But one hundred years ago, not all people in our country were viewed as “created equal.” The brave men and women who fought for their freedom understood that we are all equally sinful, equally valuable, and equally forgiven in the eyes of God. The color of your skin doesn’t matter; we are all one in Christ Jesus. If it’s the Lord’s will that none should perish, then everyone deserves to be treated with the dignity and kindness befitting a child of God.

But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. - Isaiah 64:8

Every time you go through something, whether it’s easy, hard, or just not your favorite thing, look at each situation as a chance for the Lord to mold you. A chance for God to shape you into someone stronger, with a faith that cannot be shaken. If you learn and grow from your experiences, you’re giving Christ the opportunity to make you more like Him. Having that perspective when life gets tough allows you to come out from the other side better for it, knowing that He is working in you. If you are the clay, God is the potter; we are all the work of His hand.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:10

I think that we as Christians often hesitate to listen to that little voice. The voice that says “you should pay for the person behind you in the drive-through,” or “that person looks down, you should go talk to them.” You’ve probably heard it, and you’ve probably forced yourself to ignore it because the suggestions seem silly or unnecessary. But sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone and trust that voice, even if you don’t see the benefit of what you are doing right now. Little acts of kindness can go a long way toward impacting someone more than you know. God has a plan for every kind act, and we can be His hands and feet by listening to His voice.

To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds. - Ephesians 4:22-23

What does it mean to “put off the old self?” It means that when you become a Christian, you don’t have to live the way you did before. Sin has been defeated, and it no longer gets to run rampant in your life. Whereas the old you might not have had a problem disobeying God’s commandments, the new you hesitates while remembering the agony that Christ suffered to atone for those mistakes. But the choice is still yours. Every day, distance yourself from sin and the temptation to sin, focusing on God. By making Him your first priority, you’ll live in a way that the “old self” never would.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20

Even as Christians, we still mess up. No one is righteous, the Bible says, not even one. Saved or unsaved, we all fall short… but if you’ve accepted Christ’s payment for you, you are forever redeemed. Does that mean you shouldn’t worry about your sin? Absolutely not. If you’ve repented and come to the cross, your old self was crucified with Christ, and now you are no longer just you, because Jesus and the Holy Spirit live with you. The life you now live, you live in the sinful body you were born in, but you shouldn’t live by sin. Instead, live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave Himself for you.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you are in Christ, it means that you’ve repented of sin and accepted the payment that Jesus made for you on the cross. His blood was the ultimate sacrifice, and if you believe and trust in Him, your sins have been atoned for and you are a new creation. No matter what you’ve done, the forgiveness of Christ is enough. The more you get to know God, the more the old you will fade away, as the Lord transforms you into something better. After coming to grips with Christ’s infinite love, how can any of us stay the same?

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. - Psalm 51:10-11

A new year brings new opportunities to better yourself, make good habits, and refocus on your relationship with God. Maybe last year you didn’t talk to Him as much as you wanted, or you want to put an emphasis on reading the Bible regularly. Rest assured, the Lord is ready and waiting for you. If your desire is to know Him more and to be who He wants you to be, He will give you a clean heart and renew your spirit. God will never cast you away because you are His beloved child. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. - Philippians 3:13

If Jesus is a part of your life, try to imagine the kind of person you’d be if He wasn’t in your story. The truth is that without God, you and I are powerless, sinful, and selfish by nature. Everything good that comes out of your life is accomplished with Christ’s help, and you can do all things through Him who gives you strength. You haven’t made it this far by yourself, but with the help of the Lord, who will carry you further. God will give you opportunities in life to do amazing things for Him, so keep your vision facing forward. Press on through life and pursue the Lord’s will, doing your best with all that He gives you.

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Matthew 6:34

A brand-new year can feel exciting to some and daunting to others. The future is full of possibilities, but Jesus warns us not to spend too much time worrying. In fact, over and over throughout the scriptures Christ tells us “Do not be afraid!” If He wasn’t serious, He wouldn’t have repeated it as many times as He did. Don’t be anxious about what’s to come because no amount of worrying can protect you from life’s difficulties; instead, focus on what God has for you here and now. If you’re too busy worrying about what He has for you tomorrow, you’ll miss what He has for you today.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22-23

A lot can change in a year, but not God! His love for you is permanent, and His mercy never ends. He has forgiven your sins, and He will faithfully stick with you until this life is over. Whether you had a good year or bad year, He was with you through it, and will be for this one too. How exciting it is to know that God is on your side, and to imagine all the blessings and good opportunities He could give you this year! Though bad things happen, and life isn’t always perfect, the Author of the story is one whose love never ceases, whose mercy never ends, and whose faithfulness is unyielding.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. - Psalm 98:1

The start of a new year is a good time to sing a new song to the Lord! Do you ever fall into a routine in your walk with God? Do you sometimes forget that the Lord of Heaven and Earth calls you His child? He is marvelous, wonderful, almighty, and infinitely loving, going so far as to sacrifice His one and only Son so that you could be saved from your own mistakes. That kind of God deserves more worship than we could offer in a lifetime. So, as the sun rises on a new year, praise the Lord for who He is, what He has done, and for all that He has promised!

You guys should be taken off air. You sport such hateful things and news. I choose RevFM now in my area to hear actual good, happy things and NO POLITICAL CRAP. Shame on you .
It sure would be nice to go one day without the station becoming silent. Just total silence here in downtown Binghamton. 11 years I've lived here and it hasn't gotten better. I now listen and send my offerings to WPEL in Montrose, Pa. Much smaller station with less money but never goes silent.
Allegany Hope's focus on Building Healthy Communities Through Healthy FamiliesTM has been highlighted by the Family Life Network (FLN) of radio stations across Central and Western New York and Pennsylvania.

Allegany Hope's efforts in seeking to work with churches and other organizations to develop community-based systems to help meet the needs of individuals and families, which includes getting important information to the public, also was discussed.

I would just like to let you know that your radio programming today absolutely blessed me. I am having an angiogram tomorrow afternoon. I was really nervous about it. Every song that I ended up hearing addressed not having fear and that Jesus wouldn't leave me or forsake me. Thank you for being there during this time period when I needed the encouragement the most. God Bless your ministry.

As much as I love the music you play on your station, I am not here to listen to political news. I want to feel enlightened, happy, inspired; not angry and upset over political talk on ""the news" Unfortunately I am going to find another inspirational music station to listen to. 😞
