I am officially shutting down this page. For those of you here because you think you're following the French romance novelist, don't worry, she will continue on. You should go find her real page.

As for me, I'm shutting this page down because I no longer need it. Instead, you can find me posting on all the various platforms for all the various projects I do. Here's a list of all the different places you can keep up with all my various projects.

If you can, please go like my new business page, QuickFlip Media.

Thanks so much for all of your support!!

Samantha Morgan is one of the founders of QuickFlip Media. Along with her work as the Director of Content, she hosts the Downtown East Social Ride, a weekly bike ride through downtown/mid-city Baton Rouge, and shares her gardening adventures through the Grow Downtown social media channels.

I went to see that production in the photo. I basically grew up at the Baton Rouge Little Theatre. My mom started the Actors Workshop so some of my earliest memories are fro they’re classes.

For the month of July, we’re highlighting the creative forces that make Baton Rouge the city it is. This week’s post celebrates Theatre Baton Rouge.
Originally formed as the Baton Rouge Civic Theater in the spring of 1946, they performed their first production on December 6, 1946, at the Woman's Clubhouse. Rooted in a dedication to quality community-led theater, the production group has grown into a local staple. Their regular production seasons have grown to include a youth actors program, an education series and an annual summer musical.
Pictured here, from left to right, are Judy Mills, Paige Parsons, Janis Mayeux, and Carol Guion in the 1990 production of Steel Magnolias.

How many of you are still on Twitter?

The social media giant's new app is being called a "Twitter killer" because it has a similar appearance and functions.

I love working on websites! But more importantly, I love working on websites for people I really adore.

Funny story about this site. I went to Diamond in the "Ruff" Dog Obedience Training by Denise Landin by Denise Landin back in 2004 when I had my first dog as an adult. Then, in 2019, after I launched the Downtown East Social Ride, Denise started showing up to the rides with her little dog. After a few rides it clicked that she was the same person I took lessons from more than a decade prior! Small world!

Along with being a wonderful friend, Denise was very encouraging of my dream to become my own boss. Many mimosas during brunch at Leola's Café & Coffee House were spent discussing the topic.

All this is to say that I was honored when she asked me to build a new site for her. Take a look at the site and let me know what you think. The video and photos were all done as a part of QuickFlip Media. Go give that page a like, please so we can reach more folks!

Denise Landin has over three decades of experience teaching owners the correct way to train and/or modify troublesome behavior. Diamond in the "Ruff" Dog Obedience and Training provides group or private lessons in the Baton Rouge area.

Tonight’s ride marked the beginning of Bike Month AND the 4 year anniversary of the Downtown East Social Ride! We had a lot of new people and we went out to the eagle’s nest out on the levee. It was just under 12 miles. See you all next week!

Time to go rummaging around to see if you have some old bike locks, or just locks and some chains, that can be donated to Front Yard Bikes. Their Pay It Forward campaign is currently in need of locks for some of its bike recipients. Giving someone a bike will only help if they can prevent it from being stolen! If you can afford to buy a new lock, that would be appreciated as well. Bring your locks to the ride on Monday, May 1. You don't have to participate in the ride if you just want to drop off a lock.
