We are seeking a skilled and dependable Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning and related systems across various commercial and residential properties. The technician will utilize their expertise in HVAC design, plumbing, schematics, and equipment repair to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction. A valid driver’s license is required for travel to job sites. Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioning units and HVAC systems in accordance with industry standards.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
Perform refrigeration repairs, including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable.
Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment such as boilers, chillers, and other mechanical systems.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Perform field service duties including appliance repair, property maintenance, and equipment repair on-site at various locations.
Follow safety guidelines during all operations to prevent accidents or system failures.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each service call.
Skills
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HVAC/R service technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, and system troubleshooting.
Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, boiler operation, and equipment repair.
Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding experience is a plus.
Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and field service operations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Additional skills such as appliance repair, welding, or boiler operation are advantageous. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality workmanship.
