Well...I am proud to say I've been officially without an alcoholic beverage for 365 days and it is just the beginning. I chose to quit alcohol purely on the basis of trying to grow mentally and learning about willpower. It is by far the best decision I have ever made for myself in my adult life.
This photo speaks volumes to me and is such an accurate depiction of my experience quitting alcohol.
A few things I've learned in this journey: my mind and body are much more aligned with who I want to be, I have gained SO MUCH TIME BACK to do things I've always wanted to do, I never knew how many emotions I have, and being myself in every situation has proven to be much more productive whether the situation is good or bad.
A clear mind is a valuable mind!

Baseball has always been such a rollercoaster for me. The ups and downs with both playing and coaching haven't been easy but I sure love being able to be around the game.
Over the years I've been blessed with opportunities to be around some of the games most intelligent players, coaches, and trainers. This is probably one of my favorite outings with former UCLA coach Gary Adams.
This man is a baseball guy through and through. The love for the game pours of him and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in aw being able to spend some time with him earlier this week and I was intent on listening to every word he said graphing at the chance to learn as much as possible.
As a coach, it is important to me to remember I DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING about the game. I always want to continue to be a student of the game and there is no better way than to learn from those who have had an astronomical amount of success throughout their lifetime.
I feel honored to have been given a chance to have time with Coach Adams and for those who believe in my interpretation of the game keeping me on the field.

It has been a dark winter here in the Tehachapi Mountains. I finally got some time to get in the sun and get grounded on Mother Earth!

30 minutes in the mountains, in the sunshine, soaking up the vitamin D, and getting my electric charge on by being barefoot on the ground is something I very much enjoy.

I have found that starting my days like this dramatically increases my positivity, and it is near impossible to have a bad day.

Not to mention, IT IS ALL FREE! I'd encourage anyone to do your research on the benefits of just being outside in the sun and barefoot on the ground. ENJOY & HAPPY FRIDAY!

A year ago, I HATED the guy in the shadow. Not to mention, it was unbearable to look at myself in the mirror.
I was confused, angry, and was drinking more than I'd like to admit. I was getting overweight, I was in so much pain every day, i was lazy, and not the man I knew I wanted to be.
It was exactly a year ago that I had a much needed fight with myself. To the point of beating myself out of anger of what I had become.
In that moment it was clear that it was time to get my s**t together and start on this journey of self help for both my mind and my body. I knew I wanted to become a better man and to do things that would allow me to live the life I want on my terms.
From cold plunges daily, exercising, quiting drinking, and becoming obsessed with gaining knowledge of how to be the best version of myself every day I've finally got out of the insanely vicious cycle of self pity.
A year later my success is defined by one thing, my relationship with myself! I've learned that when you dive in with no hesitation to working on yourself, it is inevitable for that dedication and hard work you put into yourself to drip into all areas of your life including relationships, your career, and simply everything you do.
Make no mistake, I face my demons every single day and I focus on winning that battle and it has since changed my life to be something I only dreamt about previously.
Now, I'm ready to share the battles as just a normal guy trying to win every minute of every day. Stay tuned for more!

Here I am! Yes, I'm still here, but I'm different.
October has been one of the best months of my life and specifically in terms of finding out more about myself.
I've been working intensly on finding out how to 'tap into more' on my journey to my pictured success.
This morning I recognized I still have A LOT of work to put into myself. However, I've found why I need to do so and it is simple:
1 - My faith.
2 - Providing for my Family.
3 - Fulfilling my goal of the lifestyle my Family & I want to live.
It is funny, as I talk with people around me I have found so much joy in hearing them speak, understanding their goals, and finding differences in what everyone strives for. I've often found myself recognizing that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! Judgement is for the weak and there isn't a single human on Earth who has deserved the right to judge another.
