Congratulations to the MRHS Athletic Department for placing 3rd in this year's Carlisle Cup Standings! Each year the SCAAA (South Carolina Athletic Administrator Association) awards its Directors Cup to the school with the most outstanding athletic program in each classification and ranks the top 10 across the state.

CONGRATULATIONS to the MRHS Athletic Department and thank you to our Athletic Director and Coaches for their hard work throughout the year!

Dear Seahawk Family,

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our longtime Athletic Director, Coach Joe Monmonier. Coach Monmonier served our school for over 20 years with unwavering dedication, passion, and pride. He first joined the Seahawk family as a Special Education teacher and lacrosse coach. The last thirteen years he was our school's Athletic Director. His impact on generations of students, athletes, and colleagues will be remembered for years to come.

Joe was more than an athletic director—he was a true champion for our Seahawk community. His commitment to excellence and athletics left a legacy that has helped shape the spirit of our Seahawk family. He was also a mentor and role model for Athletic Directors across the state of South Carolina.

We understand this sad news may be difficult for many. Counselors will be available on campus on Monday July 14th for students and staff in need of support during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to HHIHS at 843-689-4800 if your student needs additional support.

Up late and reflecting on the time I looked at Irvin Mulligan high school stats for the first time. Ranking systems are terrible. 🤣
