Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow mainly in the late afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes into the region. Highs Sunday will be falling throughout the day due to the cold front. Monday will be rather chilly with lows around 30 in the morning. After this, a gradual warming trend can be expected. By Thursday, another decent chance of rain will arrive with another cold front moving into the area by next Friday.

We remain on track for a strong cold front to move through the region Sunday morning. As it passes, much cooler and drier air will filter in behind it.

The coldest air arrives Sunday night into Monday morning. Northern counties can expect a hard freeze (mid to upper 20s for several hours), so please protect pipes, outdoor plumbing, plants, and pets. Areas farther south will be at freezing temperatures as well but not as cold as our northern counties, so pipes should generally be okay! We will continue to monitor.

Monday morning will be the coldest of the stretch. After that, we rebound quickly—highs climb back into the mid and possibly upper 70s by the middle to end of next week!

Good Friday morning! It’s warmer this morning, which has also brought back more fog. Current temperatures are mainly in the 50s. Afternoon highs today reach the lower to middle 70s as our warming trend has started. A couple isolated showers possible, but only 10% coverage.

Saturday stays warm with highs in the middle 70s and isolated to scattered showers possible. A slightly better chance for rain comes Sunday morning as a strong cold front moves through. After the front passes, the rest of Sunday turns dry with cooler air rushing in.

Freezing temperatures arrive Monday morning across the region, coldest in the upper 20s across northern counties, so drip faucets and wrap pipes there. Farther south in the Golden Triangle, pipes should be okay, but we’ll keep watching.

We warm up fast by mid-to-late next week with highs back in the middle to upper 70s. Classic temperature roller-coaster ride! 🎢

This weekend, a chance of rain returns as a cold front works into the region. Lows Monday morning will likely be below freezing even as far south as I-10. After this a rapid warming trend will begin and temperatures will be pushing 80 degrees by next Thursday with gusty south winds.

It was chilly this morning but we will have a warming trend Friday and Saturday as high temperatures get into the mid 70s. We are still on track for a strong cold front to move in on Sunday, which can bring some showers to our region, but the main thing is that chilly temperatures are on the way Monday morning.

Northern counties will likely see a hard freeze and the rest of the region will be near freezing. We will continue to provide updates for the cold weather on Monday.
