These dishes are beautiful. Handmade ceramic and with a double reactive glaze.

Last evening, we attended the Levitt Amp music series in Middlesboro, KY, featuring performances by Jordan Lee King and Pony Bradshaw. The combination of small-town settings and live music always provides an enjoyable experience.

We visited Cornett Farm Fresh, I wish I had visited them earlier, and it was delicious! Excellent location about a mile and a half off of 75. It is a farm-to-table type of café, and it is in a big farm-fresh market where you can get fresh vegetables, ice cream, homemade candy, and so much more. We split the Mexican Street Corn, Ribeye, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I highly recommend it if you are traveling on 75 through London, KY.

We went to the holler for a weekend to get away from it all. We had to take a couple of detours to get there because trees were down on the road. There was no cell service, and I had to back up on a curvy, narrow road. One side had a drop-off with a creek, and the other side had a ditch. You know my reverse driving skills aren't the best.
We could finally go once the trees were moved. We had to drive through a creek that was part of the road halfway to the house,then we made it.
The place is perfect. It's deep in the holler, surrounded by nature.
The only neighbors were the two horses. The dogs could explore and play in the creek.
We're definitely coming back; I wish it was for sale because it's exactly what we want.

During Cross Canadian Ragweed Week, I had the pleasure of meeting Hosty . During our conversation, he enthusiastically shared details about the Dynamite Jet Saloon and encouraged me to seek out Kate Thompson who is known for her striking pink hair. He emphasized the importance of finding her. I was fortunate enough to locate her later that day, and we were eventually able to visit their establishment. Their place is truly stunning, a perfect oasis they have created. The Oklahoma State decor, the memorable music, the posters, the pictures, and even Joe Stamm Band, which included one of my favorite songs, "Lay Down," made this home a place I felt incredibly blessed to be invited to. They have had the opportunity to host some truly amazing artists, including J.D. Graham Music, Joe Stamm, Ty Smith & The Minor Offenses and BJ Barham plus others. Kate and Chris's place is truly one of a kind. Thank you again for extending the invitation to us.

Encountering Shelby Stone at a house show was truly a remarkable experience. I was captivated by her voice the first time I saw her perform at Hangover Ball. She is undoubtedly one of my top five favorite female artists. I am eagerly anticipating the release of her debut album later this year. I highly recommend following her if you are not already doing so.

During the drive Delphi, Indiana today, we passed a sign for a historical covered bridge. The detour had to happen; it was located off the beaten path, between the corn fields. The bridge was built by the Wheelock Bridge Company in 1872.
We passed several homes selling fresh eggs, and we picked up a couple dozen, but the one that got me was selling cotton candy for only $3.00. I got a picture of the sign but didn't knock on the door.
