Re**er spot rates ended last week at an all-time high of $3.22/mile inclusive of fuel. That’s more than $1.00/mile higher for the first week of October compared to the average of the 10 years prior.

[Market Conditions: Van] According to CBRE’s U.S. Industrial & Logistics Figures Q2 2021 report, asking rents for warehouse leasing space are at record-highs. The highest growth rates for commercial warehouse construction are currently in San Antonio and Las Vegas. Van spot rates were raised by one cent last week, reflecting a $2.53/mile average.

A large delivery has arrived at the Port of Baltimore, four Neo-Panamax container cranes. MDOT Secretary, Greg Slater, had this to say about the great news, “These new cranes will allow the Port to serve two ultra-large container ships simultaneously, boosting our capacity and giving us the opportunity to increase revenue and grow the jobs that help fuel Maryland’s economy.”

📊 Trucking Industry Trends: September 20-26, 2021 📊

Except for last year, dry van spot rates typically decline as we head into Fall. But like we saw in 2020, spot rates continue to set new records and are now up 14% year over year. Re**er rates are still 18% above spot rates this time last year, while flatbed spot rates are an amazing 17% higher over the same timeframe. Even compared to the high set during the last flatbed rate rally in 2018, last week’s flatbed spot rate was still $0.21/mile higher.

You should have a teaser level to your load board without the broker and phone number listed for people thinking about taking the plunge into self dispatch or getting their own authority. Access to the live load board would really make the choice easier if a person could see what loads look like on a day to day basis in the areas they want to be in.
Do not pick up any loads from this company! They will not pay you! My father picked up a load for this company and delivered it. They told him they would pay him & they did not!!!! Frauds! I kept calling these ppl and people w middle eastern accents kept answering the phone acting like they would take me information then hang up in my face. So we would call from different numbers and they would answer and hang up. There will be a way I’m going to make sure they are removed from the truck industry for fraud
