BEDFORD PROPERTY TAXES TO INCREASE BY 8 PERCENT

Along with most other expenses these days, property taxes Bedford residents pay are increasing next year with City Council’s unanimous approval Tuesday of the FY 2026-2027 budget. The new budget starts in October 1st and runs through September of 2027, Bedford home owners will be paying an estimated 8.0% more in city property taxes, which equates to about a $0.04 increase per each $100 of assessed home value.

In annual dollar terms, this new budget increases the median household tax bill by $134, based on the City’s figures, from $1,677 this fiscal year to $1,811 starting in October.
