Rev. Steven D Hofmeister

Rev. Steven D Hofmeister Christian Minister, Black Robe Regiment Pastor, Patriot Academy Certified Constitution Coach, Advocate for Parental, Religious, and 2nd Amendment Rights.

Hi there, I’m Pastor Steve Hofmeister, and I wear many hats. I'm the:

Associate Pastor at the Voice of Truth Center (voiceoftruthusa.org)

And a Patriot Academy (patriotacademy.com) Lifetime Constitution Coach. It was a bunch more, but I had to slow things down, lol

I am a lifelong resident of Harford County, Maryland. I grew up in the Southern Bel Air / Abingdon area with two significantly old

er brothers. I reside in Abingdon still today. I am a divorced father of a grown Son from a 20-year marriage which gives me a unique perspective when I counsel couples. This happened several years before I would be called back to Christ’s service. I bring a lot of myself and my experiences into the ministry I share. In addition to my Son, I also have a couple that has been friends with my Son since childhood that are like my own children. They even call me Dad. I am considered a Grandfather to their two wonderful children and I take that honor seriously. They have known me well before I entered the ministry. Before the ministry, I was “Mr. Mom” to Kyle until around 2000 when I was able to return to work. (See My Testimony on my website at preachersteve.com) I spent 6 years in the private security industry working in several different capacities and earning several credentials until health forced me to retire as a field operations supervisor and training officer in 2006. I now consult from time to time on the safety and security planning for events and houses of worship. I’m pretty open-minded and thick-skinned, so anything you would want to talk through with me is not likely to shock me. I’m not here to judge, just love as Jesus commanded and share God’s word and plan as evidenced in the Bible. I now spend my time dedicated to the growth and expansion of my knowledge, Christ’s Kingdom, and the organizations and churches I work with. Though I receive very little for income, I don't receive any of it for the ministry work I do, that paycheck awaits me in heaven. Not that I wohldn't consider it. Point is that's not what drives me. So welcome! Thanks for checking out my profile. God Bless,

Pastor Steve

There are times the Lord moves you to new phases in your life. You don't understand it when it happens, but you follow His leading.

This morning He showed me why he moved me away from where I was 8 months ago to where I am now. At 49 years old he is showing me it's about refining and growth. I knew this, but today He showed me exactly how.

Though I loved where I was at, and still love those folks today, I was not going to grow how He needed me to there. That's a me and God thing and not reflective on them at all. Sometimes, obedience comes with discomfort.

I honestly thought at first I was stepping away to save them from the drama that was following me, but He was stepping me away to save me. Profound huh... yeah!! Thankfully, that drama has subsided and lost its teeth and influences Go God!!

"I need you to be a better man" is what I have heard this week. Not that I'm bad or wrong, just need to be better.

Why do I share this so openly? Because we all need to be better men. Proverbs paints the picture quite clearly.

Let's all be better men.

My Testimony

Sand in My Boots - Testimony of Rev. Steven D. Hofmeister

I grew up going to a Southern Baptist Church. My family was not always the most devout letter of the law Christians, but we were indeed the kind to lend a hand to our fellow man in need. By the time I was coming of age of genuinely wanting to understand what it had meant to be a Christian, we were at most occasional Sunday worshipers. It was not necessarily by choice. My Father's health was deteriorating because of congestive heart failure. My Brothers had gone to make their way in their directions. Mom had to pick up the job as the breadwinner for the family. Our Church was about 20 some miles away, and though there were many other churches around that was the one we had the attachment to. Dad's health limited our ability to travel there during the week, and increasing began limiting our Sunday attendance to a halt.

When I was 12, came an incredible blessing. A developer made an offer on our property. It allowed us to move from the old farmhouse I was growing up into a more modern house that would be better suited to Dad's health. Though I was not a big fan of this move and had to make some serious lifestyle changes, I knew it was for the best. I fuddled about for a few years and got actively interested in computers. At 15, Dad was feeling a little better now having an air-conditioned environment at home and got the desire to start going back to Church. We knew the journey to our old Church was out of the question. By that time, a new Pastor had been installed, and many of our old friends had moved on.

We found a closer church, and I became quite comfortable with the surroundings. I eventually was offered the task of operating the sanctuary sound system for services and did so for my time there. We remained there for three years. A disagreement between the membership would tear the fabric of the church family apart. This resulted in the Pastor voluntarily resigning.
