Listen, we never ask for help on our personal matters. We have never been able to save up to paint this place, and really be able to make it feel like home. All of our funds go into emergency repairs since we bought it, and to the community.

I don’t ask for nominations, but this would truly be the most heart warming gift ever.

If you all haven’t followed my personal page to see the horrific colors and paint job throughout the house, I’ll post on this thread sometime. 🤣

Westland Multicultural Festival
September 26-27, 2025

The Community Engagement Department has organized a Two-Day Multicultural Festival that aims to foster understanding, neighborliness and a sense of belonging in Westland, Michigan. Join us for a variety of live music, dance lessons, a fashion show, authentic foods, photo opportunity with movie stars, community connections and much more!

The Festival features three primary components. The leadership breakfast and awards will kick off the festival on Friday morning. Friday night and all day Saturday, you can enjoy the Multicultural Marketplace.

Too many in our communities cannot afford life saving medications. When I said free life saving meds, I meant all and will uphold my promise on that.

I don’t know if you see this, but there was a bunch of dairy items left in the pantry. They are very warm. They say keep refrigerated…. I cannot risk someone being sick from this. I do not know how long they have been in there, as I haven’t checked the pantry since this morning.

There is a cooler right next to the box.

A simple message and I’d gladly throw some ice in the cooler or throw it in the fridge in the garage.

I know I don’t have signs up saying no dairy, and I really appreciate the kindness. I’m sorry but it’s being trashed.

I will not get people sick, and dairy is the quickest way for a ton of various bad bacterial infections.

A bunch of mayonnaise is in there still, as well as a big bag of noodles and the imfamous dried black beans.

Best breakfast snack results are in! The neighborhood kids love Pop-Tarts! They love Cherry, strawberry and wild berry! Over the last week we went through 9 boxes!

I was shocked at how many different flavors there are now. Pretty cool to have such a large variety of flavors.

The kids this morning also said they want healthy breakfast snacks including applesauce packets!

If you are able to donate any to the morning breakfast cart, let me know or throw them in the blessing box!
