A Legend of a Logo: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝘄𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗵
What if one of the world’s most iconic logos was designed by a student—for just $35?
That’s exactly what happened in 1971 when Carolyn Davidson created the Swoosh for what was then a small brand called Blue Ribbon Sports (now Nike). Inspired by the wings of the Greek goddess of victory, this simple mark came to symbolize motion, speed, and success.
Today, it’s a masterclass in what brand design should be—meaningful, memorable, and deeply connected to the brand’s soul.
As a brand and web designer, I help purpose-led businesses create that kind of magic.
Because your brand deserves to feel as powerful as it looks.
