🗣️Mark your calendar!

Come November our beloved Belmont has an opportunity for the community to be represented like never before via our local City Council / Mayoral leadership.

Here’s why 👇
5 of the 6 seats are up for election. Mayor Charlie Martin’s early resignation calls for a special election for Mayor to serve a two year term until next election cycle.

Councilman Hefferan, Council Woman Stowe, & Councilman Seelingers terms coming to an end leave their seats up for contention. Current Councilman Turner is running for Mayor which means his current seat could shift should he be elected Mayor.

I know, it sounds like musical chairs at the highest level. This is why it’s important that we create every opportunity to connect the community with the candidates to generate active and informed voters.

Thursday, October 19th, 2023 is a great opportunity to hear from those who wish to represent YOU in our City leadership.

Join us live and via livestream as we address questions from YOU the citizens.

Mayor announces resignation almost halfway through his third term. Thank you for your service, Mayor Charlie Martin!

This will have massive ramifications come November. Why? A special election will be held in November to elect our next Mayor.

In addition, this election includes three potential changes in City Council with current council members Jim Hefferan, Marc Seelinger, & Martha Stowe coming to the end of their term. (Note: All are eligible to run for re-election.)

Meaning 4/6 of our City leadership may look drastically different by 2024.

This will be a massive opportunity to shift the representation of our city’s decision-makers. A massive opportunity for the people to step up and have a say in their leadership.
