Big infrastructure projects shape towns for decades — and this one could significantly change how people access downtown Belton.

The current I-35 expansion proposal adds express lanes but omits two major downtown exits, raising concerns about long-term impacts on our small business economy and local access.

Public Hearing will be tomorrow.

Tomorrow night, TXDOT is holding a public hearing on the I-35 expansion project that will reshape how traffic, access, and development flow through downtown Belton for decades.
Most people have no idea this is happening.

The current proposal will cause drastic changes to how visitors will access our thriving downtown center in Belton.

That affects:
• Local small businesses
• Property values
• Safety
• Walkability
• Noise
• How easy it is to get in and out of the heart of Belton
