Shortly after getting married, we quit our comfortable jobs, booked an absurdly cheap flight to Colombia, and left behind everything that didn’t fit into our backpacks.

Our wanderings have since taken us to South Korea where we taught English for a year. In our other travels, we have backpacked in SE Asia and Eastern Europe, became temporary ski bums in Washington state, and road tripped in a converted campervan through the Western US.

Can’t make this stuff up 😝

I actually have a whole Note in my phone where I write funny things she says. I’ve been keeping it since she was about 2 years old and now it is 5,000+ words long. Highly recommend keeping a Note because kids truly do say the darnedest things!

I share this because even seasoned travelers have “bad” flights.

And you know what? Our cross-Atlantic flight on the journey home was nearly perfect, so one not great flight doesn’t mean they’ll all be that way.

What a month it was ✈️🇦🇱🇩🇪🎃💕🎶 this was a hard month to sum up bc I have approximately 9,284 photos to go through, but there you have it.

TBH when you’ve got 2 kids and have been married for 13 years, 3 weeks late isn’t too bad 🤷🏻‍♀️ From traveling in Albania & Germany to a Jack Johnson concert last night, I feel like we’ve been celebrating all month 💗

Belated or not, one thing is for sure: I would pick you in every lifetime Ben Zweber 🫶🏼 Happy anniversary!

SATURDAY ☕️ Coffee at Fika Sisters 🍎 Apple fritter (or marionberry coffee cake) from Sisters Bakery 🕳️ Skylight Cave  🛶 Clear Lake SUPs (or rent kayaks/a rowboat from the onsite resort) 🥗 Lunch with a view at Black Butte Ranch 🥃 Optional stop at Crater Lake Spirits tasting room for mini cocktails 🧺Miller’s Landing Park (bring a blanket & cards) 🥤 Smoothie at Active Culture  🍜 Thai for dinner at Wild Rose  🍸 Cocktails at San Simón 🍿 Then next door to Tin Pan Theater OR rent a movie from the last Blockbuster on earth! 🎶 ALT: catch live music at Silver Moon Brewing

SUNDAY ☕️ Coffee at Little Cole’s 💦 Tumalo Falls  🥾 Keep hiking to Double Falls 🥞 Brunch at Sen Thai 🧖🏼‍♀️ Gather sauna & cold plunge session (at Hanai until 9/27 and at Riverbend Park starting in October) 🦪 Oysters & bubbles at Olvi (Sunday is all day Happy Hour!)

MONDAY 🥐 Pastries & coffee at Cafe des Chutes  🛍️ Souvenir shopping at The Workhouse  😭 Say goodbye
