Do you guys know Candlewick Press? They put out some amazing kids' books. Viv just got "Let's Play Monsters" and loved reading it together before school today! It's sweet and playful, about a boy who loves playing Monsters with his family, and even his pets! The illustrations are vibrant and fun and the story really highlights using your imagination to have fun - so important!
Best for us is that it takes the edge off "monsters" and makes them light and fun! I am hoping this helps to quell some bad dreams for Viv, too!

Got a Marvel lover? We just discovered Marvel's Battleworld by Funko Games! Using Marvel Universe characters, this game lets my son battle against Thanos while collecting his favorite micro heroes!
Each Battle Ball contains a surprise of two Marvel collectible characters, Hero Cards, Battle Cards, and a pair of dice.
Those Funko mini collective figures are so cute!
Henry loved opening the Battle Ball to see what characters and cards he got! I loved that there was a game for him to enjoy, too!

Beware the Ghost Pepper & Cayenne Pepper donut from Dunkin’ Donuts.
It doesn’t taste bad but it was definitely an unexpected flavor this AM when my 7 year old took a bite 🤣😂
I’m more worried for those parents whose got little kids like my 2 year old who loves donuts or Hey-Heys is how he calls them.
I just would figure a toddler eating a donut and then crying would be puzzling for most parents. My 7 year old can tell me it’s spicy.
Btw, when I ordered these, I just asked for a mix of donuts so they are legit randomly putting them in boxes.
Just an FYI. Although, it is pretty interesting and would be a funny trick for the older kiddos! On second thought, go out and buy one and give it to your older kids. Post a picture of their reaction 😂🤣

The Tree House CAC of Montgomery County Maryland
The 5th annual bake sale to benefit the Tree House Child Advocacy center is coming up on Sunday, October 4th from 2pm-4pm. We are still looking for volunteers to bake and/or work the table at the event.
This is an amazing opportunity for your kids to get SSL hours. We can offer one SSL hour for each person who bakes and donates goods. We can also give hours to those who volunteer at the event. We ask that all volunteers please wear masks while baking and while volunteering at the event.
