Over the last few days, I realized something important. Which is wild to me, but there are people I’ve spoken with, who never knew Reel Healin Outdoors existed!!

So here it is, clearly and honestly!

To those that know and understand. I Thank You ALL!!
Without y’all, there’s no purpose. You were here before the growth, before the name carried weight.

Reel Healin Outdoors began in 2019, after a deep drop in 2018. It didn’t start as a brand. It started as survival.

After coming home from Iraq in 07'. It took years to understand what I was carrying. I found healing where words failed, on the water, the outdoors, the stillness, and the moments when the noise finally quiets.

This is what Reel Healin Outdoors stands for:
Slowing down. Reconnecting. Finding peace through nature!

If you surf fish, Welcome.
If you love the outdoors, Welcome.
If you’re just trying to breathe again, This is home!

They are made from Alaskan yellow cedar, sealed in penetrating epoxy, primed / painted, them two coats of epoxy top coat.

Bite started off HOT 🔥
Fishbites “Jingle Berries” was hot! Thats what I call ’em. Jingle Bites is the real name… and yep, they’re still selling... ( https://www.fishbites.com/products/fishbites-longer-lasting-e-z-jingle-bites )

Whiting after whiting.
Only keeping the ones 10”+.
Yeah, you can keep up to 100 lbs, but I feel anything smaller just ain’t worth it. Not enough meat.
Quality over quantity… until...

BOOM!!!
Humphrey Fishing rod DUMPS OVER.
He takes off runnin’, and I’m hollerin’,
“GET ITTTT!”
He cranks it in and reels up a 19¼” Black Drum!! One of my favorite fish to eat. Thick. Clean. Fillets. Absolute stud.

Duley showed up around 10:15am, and the bite started to slow down. Not saying he was the reason, low tide was at 8am and high was at 2pm, so the water was moving.

Only Good Vibes and Nature!

It's always better with like-minded people!

Much love and appreciation to y’all gentlemen for coming out and throwing some lead!

Altogether we ended up catching a mess of whiting, black drum, palometa, catfish, sharks, and shorty pomps

What feels like what was a short time ago has really been almost 12 years... I was wondering this crazy world lost, empty and what felt like was completely alone. For so many years after coming home from Iraq, I have tried to just push all those “demons” away and disguise them with all sorts of outlets that were never the “right way”. I decided to take to the outdoors for my journey and spread what I feel is TRUE therapy. What better way to feel peace than by reeling in that big catch, or feeling the rush of fresh air beating your face riding down that huge mountain top. My goal is to share my journey with as many people as I can to inspire you with my testimony with hopes to bless your journey too. Stay tuned in for lots of adventures to come!
