Claudia and Hendrik aka The Jetlagged are professional underwater filmmakers who work for film and television productions as well as marine conservation organisations and independent productions. In the diving industry, The Jetlagged have partnered with many companies - for example, we are brand ambassadors for DAN Europe, promoting diving safety. A few years ago, over 1.1 million EU citizens signed the „Stop Finning – Stop the Trade“ initiative, demanding an end to the shark fin trade across Europe. The EU Commission responded with promises: an impact assessment, a possible shark fin trade ban.

Since then? No binding law. No real change. The trade continues.

Next week is EU Ocean Week - a moment when EU institutions and NGOs will talk a lot about Ocean conservation and protection . This is our chance to remind them what still need to be addressed! 🦈

🦦 Two weeks until „Mission Sea Otter“ will be screened at the GREEN SCREEN Internationales Naturfilmfestival Eckernförde – and we couldn’t be prouder to be nominated for Best Marine Film.
The film follows the fight to save California’s kelp forests, and the sea otters at the heart of that story.
