Overloaded Mags Productions had the privilege of being invited to an exclusive pre-release screening of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 at the historic Walt Disney Studios lot.
The evening included a special Q&A with some of the creative forces shaping the future of animation, writer/director Jared Bush, director Byron Howard, producer Yvett Merino, and voice talents Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan.
It was an honor for our team, Ryker, Marjorie DeHey, and Paul Overacker, to connect directly with filmmakers responsible for some of Disney’s most beloved modern classics.
Byron Howard, known for visionary storytelling and world-building, Byron has brought audiences unforgettable films including Bolt, Tangled, Zootopia, and the Oscar-winning cultural phenomenon Encanto. Spending time with him was a true highlight for each of our attending team members.
Yvett Merino continues to be one of animation’s most influential producers. With Zootopia 2, she earns her third Producers Guild of America Producers Mark, following her acclaimed work on Encanto and Moana 2. Her insight and leadership are shaping some of the most celebrated films of this era.
As for Zootopia 2, families everywhere are going to love this newest chapter. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return as detectives on the trail of a mysterious reptile shaking up the metropolis, delivering heart, humor, and the kind of world-class animation Disney is known for.
