During WW2, Henry Ford's plant called the "Willow Run" was specifically designed to build the B-24 Liberator. After perfecting the production process and utilizing Ford's ingenious assembly line innovations, they were built with unimaginable speed. By 1944, Willow Run was constructing a B-24 every 63 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To put this in perspective, America was capable of constructing Germany's entire bomber fleet in little over a month, all out of a single manufacturing plant. America had a fleet of 2,500 planes at the onset of World War 2, but after the peace treaty was signed, America had a fleet of a staggering 300,000 planes.
As another comparison, the United States produced 40% of all planes manufactured during World War 2 with every allied and axis nation combined.
Be bold.
