Celiacs have you tried this airport travel hack?
Eating in an airport can be tough when you have celiac disease, and traveling to a foreign country comes with even more unknowns!
For me, managing celiac disease is all about preparation and self-advocacy. So I carried on an entire extra carry-on with gluten-free food (no fees and no questions asked) just in case!
But here’s the funny part… I chose my resort SO well that I barely touched any of it!
One protein drink, one protein bar, and one beef stick. That’s ALL I ate from my stash the entire trip, and all of it was in airports!
Was I overprepared? Maybe. But after 25 years with celiac disease, I’d much rather be overprepared than stuck in an airplane bathroom at 30,000 feet! 💩😂
