I’ma say this for the ones who scared to: I’m speaking for all us (customs) small business owners.
We’re sick of ya’ll!!!
You don’t walk into Walmart, Target, or Macy’s and ask to pay half now, half later. You don’t pick up your groceries and say, “I’ll pay you next week.” So why come to us—people running legit businesses—and expect CUSTOM work without full payment upfront?
Let’s be crystal clear:
If you want custom work, you’re HAVE to pay upfront.
If you’re not ready to PAY, you’re not ready to ORDER.
I went against my own rules three times this season and trusted people without payment. I did the designs, they approved them… and NONE of them paid. That’s time, energy, and creativity wasted.
And while we’re here…
• Don’t send us school photos with watermarks and expect us to design around it. Why would you want that on your shirt?
• Once your design is approved, don’t come back with a million changes unless you’re ready to pay for them.
• Rush orders? Cost more.
• Want to print on the back, side, bottom of the shirt? Cost more.
• 3D designs vs. center print? Cost more!
• And yes, sometimes a kid’s shirt costs just as much—or even more—than an adult shirt. No, we dont know why! We dont make the shirts.
Now let’s talk about your cousins.
We do not care if your cousin said they’ll do it for $15. Go to your cousin. We want you to! We want everybody to eat.
But over here? We have our price, and we’re sticking to it.
One more thing…
You knew for 13 years that Lil, Ray Ray was gonna graduate…
So why do y’all wait until two days before graduation to ask for shirts?
Like—did you just find out? Did the cap and gown surprise you? Be for real.
Custom work takes time.
Good quality takes planning.
If you want your stuff done on time, do your part on time.
Otherwise, be prepared to pay rush fees—or better yet, go on and make it yourself. Because when you DIY, you don’t have to worry about our prices, our policies, or our process.
This ain’t a hobby.
This is a business. Respect it. We still love ya’ll. We just need you to do your part.
