Dearest Friends,
It is with a heavy heart, yet with great joy and deep peace, that I share with you that Chris has finally defeated cancer.
On November 21, 2025, his wonderful Savior and Healer, Jesus, came and embraced him into his new life, and through the mighty power and name of Jesus, his precious soul is now forever in the presence of our Lord and the King of all the world. Jesus has been victorious.
This has been a long and difficult battle, but Jesus is victorious because He defeated death, hell, and the grave through the work He accomplished on the cross. Chris put his trust in Jesus on March 21, 2004, and he was kept by His grace and love every single day until his passing. Jesus was faithful to him. He brought him peace, comfort, and strength through every trial and every challenge—and Chris rejoiced through it all.
Yes, this has been the hardest battle we have ever faced, but today we have peace knowing that Chris has received the reward he has been living for these past 21 years. He gave up this world when he was born again, and this is the next beautiful chapter of his eternal life.
We will forever miss him, but our hearts are comforted. We will be with him again—alongside our Savior, Jesus—soon.
The one thing I know Chris would want to say to you is this:
“Put your trust in Jesus and give your life completely to Him. You will receive a new life—one that is born from above and perfect. Step into eternal life and know Jesus. He is the only way to the Father, and knowing Him is eternal life. Give Him your weakness, your failures, and your sins. He died for them so that you could be free and receive a new life free from sin. He will give you His Holy Spirit, and He will be with you forever—from now into the next life, with Him in eternity.”
Chris did not die—he already died when he called upon Jesus to save him in 2004. That was his death. He died to this world so he could gain something far better. From that day forward, he lived truly alive. His earthly body has finished its course, but he is more alive now than ever—living fully in the presence of his Savior and King, Jesus.

Post Script:
Chris actually wrote himself what you have just read above—for me, his wife, Amanda—to post after his passing, because he wanted to make things easier on me.
Of course he did. That was our amazing Chris. Yours and mine.
Even in the last stages of the disease, through pain and sleeplessness, he was thinking of others and accomplishing what needed to be done on their behalf.
We, as his family, are strong—even at his death—because we know exactly where Chris is. He went Home. To our Home. And prayerfully, to your Home-to-be as well.
Lord, we thank You for the example Christopher was to all of us—of the love and patience You have for us—the same love and patience Chris was diligent to show everyone he met. His life’s motto was: “Just be patient with people, because God is patient with you.”
May we always walk in repentance, continually receiving the power of the Holy Spirit to live in righteousness—by reading the Word of God that divides soul and spirit and renews our minds, and by being faithful to spend time with the Lord in prayer, praise, and worship, which strengthens and heals us.
That by the blood of Jesus that was shed for the remission of our sin—when we confess our sin before Him, turn from it, and sin no more—we WILL spend eternity with God and with those we love… even our beloved Chris.
