Millions of North Dakotans depend on local news to stay informed about the issues that shape their daily lives, yet few realize how fragile that ecosystem is.

The North Dakota News Cooperative is the only nonprofit news service providing free, in-depth reporting that newspapers across the state can use.

We don’t have the nationwide donor networks that support many larger news organizations. Every story we publish and every newspaper we support depends on North Dakotans who believe in independent, nonpartisan journalism.

Your support strengthens local news in every corner of North Dakota.

Right now all new donations are doubled through NewsMatch, which makes this the perfect time to make a difference. Give today at newscoopnd.org/give.

Health insurance costs could soon skyrocket for many North Dakota farmers. A critical set of federal tax credits, part of the American Rescue Plan, is set to expire at the end of 2025.
