My project "Salt of the Earth " is a finalist in the Cashmere On Ice contest!

I'm thrilled that my "knitted picture"made with 100% Pandong Cashmere and Berroco's Cashmere blend Lucca allows me to help draw attention to this year's Glaciers' Preservation efforts.

A friend asked if I have a close-up of the sourdough bread that I bought yesterday at Mormor Baked Goods and if I bought something else..

The answers are "Yes, I now do, and yes, I did!"

In sequence:
- Whole sourdough bread
- Sliced sourdough bread
- Fresh blueberries cake
- Norwegian coffee cake
- Dutch letters (with Marzipan!)
- Braided cardamom loaf

All sliced and in the freezer, and now I really need to get back to my other fiber-rich tasks 😂

BEST. SOURDOUGH BREAD. EVER!!!

Steph and Tim (the baker) sell their baked goods every Wednesday and Saturday in front of their home along RR 1623. Their goods taste as scrumptious as they look!

I bought some extra today that will go sliced into the freezer. Toast the frozen slice for an instant delicious treat ... mini gourmet vacation ...

BTW, Mormor means grandmother in Swedish!

Meet the beginnings of my cowl-in-progress, using the new Gruene pattern by and all-Texan natural yarns.

Martha's pattern is perfect ... as always: It's an interesting way to turn a triangle shawl into a drapey cow, with an awesome edging solution, and all of it comes as an easy, relaxing knit.

I'm using Southdown Babydoll Sheep sport weight wool and the soft fi*****ng weight Debouillet held together to get gauge. That makes it all Texan 🤠! The designer, the yarn, and even the pattern name 😍

Week 12 of ... I made it 8" into the "bubble" eyelet pattern and just finished the first ball of the color Neptune. Needless to say that I will need more time, but it continues to be a very enjoyable summer knit.

I'm on my way to to join the !

I started Knit Stars 🌟 when Martha Wissing was a StarTeacher in Season 4 ❤️ and I have not missed a season since then (and made up on the previous ones, too)..

I just finished a little hostess gift for Shawnee and Martha: The treats basket is woven of Amano Puna and Puna Eco, treasures from my Season 4 Knit Stars stash 😃❣️🧶.

I'm looking forward to meeting friends and making new ones ...
