Here we go folks! Finally catching up on all the post-show work and we have an enormous list of incredible folks to thank for making "Over the Shire & Far Away" such a monumental success! π
This entire thing began by a brief conversion with David Otto Kurecian from the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau last fall. We told him we thought it would be cool do our album release at BTE and he made fast work of bringing this entire show to fruition. Otto, we cannot thank you ENOUGH! The same level of thanks goes out to the CMVB for supporting live music via their "Music Passport" program that essentially made this all possible. β¨
A huge round of applause for Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble in believing in this unique opportunity and giving it a shot! From ticket and concession sales to the overarching staff who made everyone so comfortable. Your overall support for Knorrwood is appreciated to no end. We sincerely hope to team up again in the near future! β¨
A millionth thank you to all of our sponsors for helping support the show in such an epic way! Be sure to give Absinthe Tattoo, Brewksis Coffee & Bar, Brown's Landscaping, Edmonds Construction, Grateful Acres Farm, MVP Clubhouse, Rock God Brewing Company, and Survivor's Journey all your business forever! β¨
The show was a "dream team" collaboration. Working with Assorted Studios and Dotzspot Productions LLC for our sound and lighting needs made running this show feel as comfortable as lounging in your PJs on a Sunday morning. Thank you guys so much for all you do to support live music! β¨
A tremendous amount of thanks goes out to Kathy Ireland who absolutely crushed the merch game over the weekend! Being able to provide merch and sell it are two very different things. Kathy held down the fort and then some! β¨
The greenery on stage was donated by the insanely kind Patrick Foust, we cannot thank you enough! Additional special thanks to Ashley Lopez (and Roger!), Deb McCahan, June Knorr, and Sarah Knorr for helping paint the set the design! β¨
A roaring applause to Sarah Knorr for managing the band's hospitality all weekend long! Your kind love and efforts in making everyone feel at home made everyone feel like part of the family. β¨
Yet another shout out to Rock God Brewing Company for brewing up the special limited batch Knorrwood Lager! It was a total sellout both nights. Be sure to stop in to their brick and mortar location in Danville, PA to grab a fresh pint or 4-pack to go! β¨
A huge thank you to Cindy Shultz for playing a big role in this show coming together and for providing a space for us to advertise at the Bloomsburg Renaissance Jamboree! β¨
There are likely a healthy handful of other folks we are forgetting to mention but please know all of your undying support for this band and live music in Bloomsburg means SO MUCH to us and our fans. From displaying posters at your businesses to offering spaces to hang our banner, it truly means the world!!! β¨
Finally, an enormous amount of gratitude goes out to our unwavering fans who have supported this weird little project called Knorrwood. From backing the album on Kickstarter to supporting us at live shows, YOU are the reason this whole thing works at all! β¨
And without further ado we are STOKED to announce summer tour dates, a few of which we will be performing our "Over the Shire & Far Away" set at once again! Don't see a show in your area? Let us know where you think we need to travel to! π€
