Simple Whole Foods to Prep for 12mo+ 😋
This seriously makes life so much easier when you have a little one who’s growing and curious about food. 🤎
As a mom of 4 I’m looking for whole foods that are effortless to prep (because let’s be real, I can’t spend hours prepping)- those are my favorite 😍
Here are some we tried this week:
🥑 Avocado biscuits: all you need is Avocado, butter (we use ghee), flour. I eyed it all because I had a half of avocado left and didn’t want to toss it. It was like only 1TBSP of ghee maybe 2 and then about 1 cup of flour. Baked in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. I’ve seen people use cute cookie cutters but I just rolled into a ball, imprint with fork & placed in mini muffin tins to bake! 10/10
🥦 Parmesan, broccoli scramble: I was attempting to make broccoli parm fritter, but again I kind of eye everything & I think my ratios were off- it was steamed broccoli, shredded Parmesan Reggiano, and 2 eggs, I ended up scrambling in a pan. 6/10 it was good the 1st couple days but then Elijah was over it.
🧀 I pre cut Parmesan Reggiano bites for quick easy grab. We get the block from Costco so I just wanted some pieces ready to grab. 10/10 Parmesan Reggiano is a great source of protein, excellent for bones & teeth, naturally lactose free, rich in vitamins & minerals, and gut-friendly 💛
🫐 blueberries- 10/10 nuff said! We still currently cut these in half when serving & are his favorite.
🫘 black beans- I rinsed and put in a container ready to serve. It’s a great source of protien & nutrients as well and feeds good gut bacteria 🤗
This all fit in a little space I have for him in the fridge ready to grab. ✨
I hope this can help any other mamas looking for simplicity but still trying to be intentional with Whole Foods-
Don’t overthink it 🫶🏻
