🚨 12 PUPPIES. TWO DIFFERENT STORIES. AND STILL NO ACCOUNTABILITY. 🚨
My name is Lauren Ortiz, and on September 18, 2026, 12 of my six-day-old Cane Corso puppies and their mother, Dolly, were taken from my home.
Now I want everyone to pay very close attention, because the explanations surrounding their seizure are NOT adding up.
🐾 The Arizona Humane Society publicly stated that Gilbert PD seized my puppies because their tails were INFECTED.
🐾 Yet the official Gilbert Police Department report states that officers assisted AHS in the seizure, that an AHS officer physically removed my puppies from their whelping pen, and that the seizure decision was based on the tail-banding procedure and the bands observed on their tails.
SO WHICH ONE IS IT?
Were my puppies seized because their tails were allegedly infected? Or because of the tail-banding procedure?
And who actually authorized the seizure?
Here’s what makes this even more disturbing.
🎥 I HAVE VIDEO FOOTAGE RECORDED LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE THEY WERE TAKEN.
Watch my babies.
Sleeping peacefully. Nursing from their mother. Resting together in their warm, clean whelping area.
We have multiple videos and photographs showing puppies with no obvious visible signs of infection.
A registered nurse with 18 years of experience personally observed my puppies afterward everyday. She did not observe visible signs of infection or behavioral signs of significant distress during her observations.
EVEN THE GILBERT PD REPORT STATES THE PUPPIES APPEARED TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH IN A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
So where are the veterinary records establishing that my puppies had infected tails when they were removed?
Where is the medical evidence supporting AHS’s public statement?
And who made the final decision to take my animals?
I trusted the people who entered my home under official authority. I never imagined my babies would be removed and that I would be fighting to get answers about what happened.
My Dolly has since been returned to me.
BUT MY 12 BABIES ARE STILL GONE. 💔
I missed precious weeks of their lives. Their mother was separated from her babies. Our family has been devastated.
And now, instead of answers, I’m left looking at two different accounts from the agencies involved.
I AM NOT ASKING FOR SYMPATHY IN PLACE OF FACTS.
I’m asking for the actual evidence, the legal authority used to seize my animals, and accountability from whoever made that decision.
A BADGE DOES NOT REMOVE ACCOUNTABILITY. A UNIFORM DOES NOT REPLACE EVIDENCE. AND GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY DOES NOT PUT ANYONE ABOVE THE LAW.
If the seizure was justified, show us the documentation.
If these puppies were infected, show us the contemporaneous veterinary findings.
And if someone made a mistake, have the courage to acknowledge it.
THESE AREN’T JUST 12 PUPPIES TO ME. THEY ARE MY BABIES, AND I WANT THEM HOME.
Please watch the video. Read the documents. Share our story.
Because today it happened to my family. Tomorrow, another animal owner could find themselves asking the same questions.
🐾 JUSTICE FOR DOLLY. BRING OUR 12 BABIES HOME. 🐾
