I just wanted to say something about the open mic night and the karaoke night. Attendance wise the karaoke night is ahead of the open mic night.
The open mic night Wednesday is an eclectic crowd of guitar players, singer songwriters, singers, musicians of just about every flavor. I'd love to get some comics and a little more variety. But it's on track and doing well. The crowds are smaller but they are very dedicated.
Big time karaoke on Thursday nights has been better attended. Do you know what I have been very impressed with the quality of singers that have come out. I see this thing growing letting Singers come and do their thing in a way that many of them have never had the opportunity to. Lots of fun and growing.
Nonetheless I see both of these nights growing with dedicated crowds. I have seen people that normally do not sing come out and rock the place.
We are kind of like Toastmasters to speakers. Giving singers and musicians the confidence to do what they do in public. I like to believe it makes a difference.
It's one thing to be able to sing and another to grab a mic and belt it out in front of a crowd.
