Freddie got a new tag along until I can figure out my planned bicycle camper build (Anyone got covered space I can do the build get in touch) I am hopeful this will provide the necessary stability so I can bring along backup juice for Bionic Freddie and the 15year old Spirit that keeps on insisting I just peddle on down the road "One Cadence at a Time"

I haven't posted in a while due to cold weather and my dislike of it. For those that may think I am chasing a dream, I want to offer a glimpse into why I decided to get back on a bicycle.

As my confidence grew I experienced the 15 year old spirit who just wanted to go exploring. Just as I had during my youth I stumbled upon Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail. This trail reminded me of the woods where my neighborhood backed up to. I hike in them for countless of hours as a kid. Riding the trial the smells and the silence experienced took me back to care free days.

On the road again. Yes I recognize there are those who are adamantly against e-bikes and consider them cheating. I get it, and then again I don't understand why. When a person struggles to achieve a goal or reach a certain outcome they may, at times, seek assistance so they can meet or exceed their own expectations. Generally speaking, one inherently strives to improve on a situation that is impeding their personal growth. Some do it alone and others seek out support along the way.

It all started when I believed the old saying "You never forget how to ride a bicycle." Well what the saying doesn't include is "as time goes by.." you can fill in the rest. I was determined, but, my third ride in took me 3 hours and 20 minutes to ride 10 Miles I knew the reality of my dream adventure might have to be I think I can, I think I can, oh who am I kidding. Yea I had to come up with a plan. Here is my documented first ride.

Cycling as a way of life offers a unique rhythm, connecting you to the world with every turn of the pedal. It becomes a quiet refuge, helping you process losses, navigate divorces, and embrace the inevitability of aging. The journey mirrors life itself: uphill struggles, downhill relief, and steady moments of reflection. As time passes, cycling keeps you grounded, reminding you that movement—no matter how slow—is resilience, and every mile ridden is a testament to enduring life's challenges with grace and strength.
