Okay it just occurred to me… with it being **2026**… I started DJing in **1986**… which means this is my **40th DJ anniversary**.
First of all: **how.**
Second of all: **since I’m only 25**, the math is clearly… “DJ math.” 😄
I started DJing my **senior year of high school**, kicking things off with **school dances** and learning fast what works, what doesn’t, and how to read a room before I even knew that was a skill. From there it turned into what became a **very successful mobile DJ business**. Private parties, weddings, school dances, you name it. It grew to the point where I had **two crews out most weekends**, which still blows my mind when I think about it. A lot of loading gear, crates of heavy vynil, a lot of miles, a lot of late nights… and a lot of memories.
Then came the club scene, and that whole chapter turned into something I never could’ve predicted. I’ve had the privilege of playing in so many amazing places over the years, including **my first stint at Club Café, plus Machine, Guilt, Legacy, The Stable, EGO, PTown. Paradise (NJ), Eagle (Baltimore)… just to name a few. Every room taught me something different, every crowd had its own personality, and somehow it kept getting more fun.
And that brings me to right now: I’m lucky enough to be sitting on four residencies that I’m genuinely proud of
Mainestreet Ogunquit (year 15… yes, fifteen!), my second stint at Club Cafe Boston plus Alley Bar Boston and Blend in Dorchester.
It’s honestly hard to believe it’s been **40 years** of music, nights that flew by in ten minutes, nights that turned into stories, and moments where you look up and realize a room full of people is sharing the same beat. I’m grateful for every venue that took a chance on me, every staff member who kept the night moving, every promoter who booked me, every fellow DJ who shared tips and tracks, and of course everyone who showed up ready to dance.
And to be clear, I’m not done. Not even close.
40 years in… and I’ve still got a lot more to accomplish and more places I want to play. Bring it on!
