Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it q***r
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Medford, Massachusetts long claimed to be the birthplace of “Jingle Bells,” with a plaque in Medford Square stating that James Pierpont wrote it at Simpson Tavern around 1850.

Stories about him remembering Salem Street sleigh races in Medford come from others firsthand accounts. These anecdotes describe lively one‑horse open sleigh races along Salem and Pleasant Streets inspiring the song.

He was living in Savannah Georgia in 1857, when "Jingle Bells" (originally "One Horse Open Sleigh") was copyrighted and first published. 

AS THERE IS NO FREAKING SNOW IN GEORGIA, it is most likely that he wrote it in Medford and simply did not publish and copyrightit until later.

What could be better than birria tacos? How about a giant birria Quesadilla?

You can get both at Taqueria la siguanaba in Webster MA. The broth was excellent and the cilantro was very fresh and stood out.

The quesadilla was obviously much larger and really absorbed the broth well, but I would go with the tacos if you were looking to share or just not as hungry.

Regardless, they're definitely focused on quality birria.

So everyone always is commenting about the difference between empanadas and pastelitos and yes I understand they are very similar but they do have differences.
Also, I can't speak highly enough of the Yucca empanadas, the dough really does take on an amazing texture and flavor.
And watch till the end so you can see the messy and delicious Chimi. And yes they provide plastic gloves to eat them with.

We call them hidden jewels but we should call them Hiding in Plain Sight. When you bring a friend to a place like this, that's when you get street cred on being a true foodie. Raices in Worcester is that kind of place.
Restaurant.

We sample the following Caribbean favorites, that had a distinctive Puerto Rican flare.
Churrasco, Skirt Steak drizzled with homemade chimichuri sauce, and Mofongo with white sauces.
Tostones de Pana with Mofongo
Empanadas and yes, i know in PR they are called empanadillas or pastelillos.
Dragon Fruit and Passion Fruit Mojitos.

Date night time with atmosphere, Karma in Wellesley delivers Asian Fusion.

The vibes enhance the menu, with open kitchen seating as well.

There are showstoppers like Salmon on Fire and the Pineapple Fried Rice. and Yellowtail Thai Basil in The Spoon had balanced flavors of hot salty sweet and spicy

Their Kobe Roll was THE best, of the flavors really popped in the quality of the beef shined through, and the Coffee Braised Short Ribs impressed with cheap flavors and the beef was super tender.

The Matcha Cake dessert was impossibly light, the matcha flavor shine through without being covered by too much sugar sweet. and the Strawberry Ice Cream Saki Affagado was enjoyed separately. definitely an interesting take, and the freeze-dried strawberries gave it a great pop, but sipping on the sake separately was the right move
