My 4th grader finally understood math after MONTHS of struggling…

Then she took a test.

She got 2 questions wrong out of 25.

That’s a 92%… right?

Nope.

The teacher gave her a 50% 😳

Why?

Because she didn’t use the “approved method”… even though every answer was correct.

When I asked about it, the teacher basically said:

👉 “Do it my way next time or it’s a zero.”

So yeah… I went to the principal.

They ended up forcing the teacher to change the grade.

Now my daughter can solve problems her way—as long as she shows her work.

But now my wife says I caused unnecessary drama…

That I should’ve just let it go.

So now I’m wondering…

would I be the jerk if I stopped fixing my fiancée’s laundry?”

So me and my fiancée have been together for about six years. She hates doing laundry. Like… absolutely hates it. I actually don’t mind it, so most of the time I just handle everything—washing, folding, putting it away, all that.

But there’s this one thing that drives me crazy.

Almost every single piece of clothing she puts in the hamper is inside out. Shirts, pants, hoodies… like 90% of it.

And for six years I’ve been asking her, “Hey, can you just flip them right side out before throwing them in?”

Six. Years.

Nothing changed.

So every time I do laundry, I’m standing there flipping all her clothes back the right way before I can fold or hang them. It’s not a huge deal… it’s just annoying.

Now I’m honestly thinking about just… stopping. Like folding everything exactly how it comes out of the wash—inside out and all—and putting it away like that.

So if she wants it the right way, she’ll have to flip it herself when she gets dressed.

I know it’s a small thing… but after six years, I’m kinda over it.

So be honest… would that make me the jerk?

6 Years… She Still Won’t Do This One Thing 😳
He’s been doing his fiancée’s laundry for six years… washing it, folding it, putting it away.

There’s just ONE thing he’s asked her to do.

Flip her clothes right side out before tossing them in the hamper.

That’s it.

But after 6 years of asking, she still throws almost every shirt, hoodie, and pair of pants in inside out.

Now every laundry day he has to stand there flipping everything before folding it.

Have you ever helped someone out with money… and the second it’s time for them to pay you back, everything suddenly gets weird?”

So I moved to Mexico for work a few months ago, and the first apartment they gave me was a disaster. I’m talking loud music at like 3 AM, neighbors yelling, even chickens outside my window. I barely slept for four months.

A coworker suggested I share a room with another girl from work—let’s call her Amma. Rent was 8,000 pesos each, plus a deposit. She told me she couldn’t afford the full deposit, so I covered an extra 1,000 pesos a month for four months. She promised she’d pay me back later.

For those four months, everything was fine. She always sent the money on time and I paid the landlord.

Then month five came… the month she was supposed to start paying me back.

I asked for the usual amount. Hours go by—nothing. Later she says she can only send 8,000 because she’s waiting on her uncle for the other 1,000.

That extra 1,000? Never showed up.

And when I asked again she literally said, “Relax, I hate talking about money.”

Which is funny… because for four months it was never a problem.

So the next morning she sends me a sweet “good morning” message with a cute sticker like everything’s normal.

At that point I was over it.

She owed me 4,000 pesos total… so I sent her back 4,000 from what she sent and kept the other 4,000—exactly what she owed me. Then I told her from now on she can deal with the rent herself because I’m done mixing money and roommates.

I didn’t take extra… just what was mine.

But now I’m wondering… was that petty, or would you have done the same thing?

Have you ever held onto something someone said to you for years… and then suddenly got the chance to say something back?

So back in high school, I had this classmate. We weren’t best friends, but we were cool. We’d talk, joke around… he even used to call me ‘ripped’ because I worked out a lot.

But one day after graduation, we were chatting online and out of nowhere he started going off on me. Like full hostile. He even made a group chat with his friends just to talk trash about me.

And the one thing he said that stuck with me was: ‘You’ll probably end up as a computer shop attendant anyway.’

That line honestly messed with me for a long time.

Fast forward to now—I’m 23, working remotely for a company, decent pay, helping my family… life’s actually going pretty well.

Then today, I randomly ran into him.

We start talking and I ask what he does now. Turns out he works technical support at an automotive company.

And the second he told me that… that old comment popped right back into my head.

So I’m on a three-month work trip in the Netherlands, right? Small office, like eight people total, and we all share this one communal fridge.

For the first couple months, my lunch kept disappearing.

And not like… a yogurt or a snack.
I mean my entire meal.

I usually grab food from restaurants because cooking here is a pain, and that stuff isn’t cheap. I’d open the fridge at lunch and—boom—gone. No note, no apology, nothing.

I brought it up in meetings a few times. Like, “Hey, someone keeps taking my lunch.”
Everyone just kind of… ignored it. Nobody admitted anything.

So eventually I got tired of it.

I bought a small mini fridge, put it on a free desk near mine, and yeah… I even put a little lock on it. Nothing fancy—just enough to keep my food safe.

Now suddenly everyone thinks I’m being dramatic and “not very team-friendly.”

But when my lunches were getting stolen… nobody cared.

Am I wrong for telling my wife I’m going to clean our bedroom… even if she hates it?”

So my wife and I have been married for 18 years. And over the last six years, life’s gotten better financially… bigger house, more space, nicer stuff.

But somehow our bedroom slowly turned into… piles.
Like, piles of stuff everywhere. Clothes, random items, things she says she’ll “deal with later.” At this point it takes up like 80% of the floor. I literally have to move things just to open my dresser drawers. The only clear space is my side of the bed.

And she doesn’t want me touching any of it.

Last year I finally convinced her to clean it. I took care of the kids for three straight days so she could focus. And when it was done, she said it felt amazing… even suggested we do it once a year.

Fast forward to the next October… I remind her… and she says no. Says it’s her space and I don’t get a say.

So one day while she was out hiking, I moved everything into the garage and sorted it all. Trash, donations, stuff to keep… even let her approve every single thing.

Now I told her if the room isn’t clean by October 15 each year… I’m just going to clean it myself.

She says that’s controlling.

But I’m literally asking for one clean day a year.

So… am I actually the bad guy here?

After 18 years of marriage, one bedroom almost started a war…

Their house got bigger.
Life got better.

But their bedroom slowly turned into piles of stuff covering 80% of the floor.

Clothes. Random things. Boxes.
He could barely even open his dresser.

The only rule?
He wasn’t allowed to touch any of it.

Last year he convinced his wife to clean it.

Am I wrong for spending my own money on stuffed animals instead of bills?”

So… I’m a stay-at-home mom. I actually quit my dream job because childcare was too expensive, and my husband didn’t want us paying for it.

Recently I started cleaning and organizing family members’ houses for a little side money. I bring the younger kids with me while the older ones are in school.

But I’m only making about $200 a month.

All our bills are already paid though, and there’s still money left after groceries and necessities. So I thought… why not finally buy something for myself for once?

Most of it goes toward these stuffed animals I’ve wanted forever. Sometimes I’ll grab coffee with a friend, lunch, or buy something small for the kids. I even got my husband a Valentine’s gift.

But when he noticed I kept buying stuff, he got really upset.
He said it doesn’t matter that I earned the money… if I have money, I should be using it for bills, not “stupid stuff.”

And honestly… I didn’t really know what to say.

Part of me gets his point… but part of me feels like $200 isn’t going to change our finances anyway. I just wanted a little freedom for once.

So now I’m wondering…

Am I being selfish here… or is it fair to keep a little money for myself?
