Holly jeez I really love this one! I’m definitely printing this on acrylic for the art fair season this summer! Speaking of, I’m working on a whole new hanging system for my 10x10 tent so I’ll be sure to post updates and reels on how that’s going.

Hooey Doodle No. 141

This one feels like a cosmic game of pinball where geometry meets a little bit of chaos. Bold blue and orange shapes twist and stretch across a moody background, like two letters that tried to escape a typeface but got caught mid-flight. The orbs floating around them are either tiny planets, futuristic marbles, or just really enthusiastic punctuation marks.

There’s a motion to this one, like it’s mid-spin, caught in a moment of pure energy. The curved lines and subtle shading give it depth, making the whole thing feel like a 3D puzzle waiting to snap into place. Or maybe it’s a secret alphabet only known to intergalactic designers. Either way, it’s got movement, contrast, and just the right amount of mystery.

Hooey Doodle No. 140 - New Hooey Doodle drop and I’m really loving this one! I’m really happy with the red and yellow colors and the textures that I got on the main shapes as well as the spheres scattered around. I’ve been wanting to do a project like this for a long time, and finally got around to it! I needed a couple names to get started, so why not my own and my girlfriends! I think they look great and I’m excited to see where this goes especially experimenting with some company names. Another old drawing made new. I’m not crazy about this one, and wasn’t from the beginning. The Hooey I drew in college just had a weird shape that wasn’t really speaking to me. Sometimes though you need to work with pieces you’re not crazy about because you never know what they’ll turn into!
