Last week, my was MAGIC—and that’s exactly what it felt like to keynote at an unforgettable event curated by the incredible in Newport Beach. ✨

From the moment I stepped on stage, I could feel the energy in the room: curious minds, open hearts, and a collective bravery to show up authentically.

I had the honor of guiding the audience through Head-Heart-Core—a signature exercise I’ve developed to help people tap into their full truth and express it clearly and powerfully in just minutes.

Big thanks to Jasmine and her phenomenal team for creating a space where real connection could happen.

And to my team at PARDON —thank you for always showing up, cheering me on and supporting my work. After years (okay, decades) of being a lone wolf, it means the world to walk alongside such a gifted crew. Nicholas , Alex .sadski and Justin - you're the best.

Cheers to more moments of truth, connection, and yes—MAGIC! 💫

What if some of the frustration, dissatisfaction, or even suffering you’re experiencing in life isn’t because things are “going wrong,” but because you’re simply misaligned?

Alignment—between your values, goals, relationships, words and actions—is one of the most overlooked ingredients for a fulfilling career. When things feel “off,” sometimes the situation is inherently broken and out of your control.

But other times the situation itself isn’t broken; it’s your relationship with it. And if the misalignment is not named and addressed, that’s when friction begins…

Big news! I’m excited to step into a full-time role at Pardon - a modern family office and venture studio - as Head of Alignment / Entrepreneur in Residence.

After 24 years of building businesses, amplifying messages and coaching leaders, this role is the perfect evolution of my work. I’ll be weaving together purpose, people, and communications—ensuring our ventures and resources stay aligned as we innovate in the art, wellness and entrepreneurship spaces.

Oh, and the best part? I get to do this with some of the most talented humans on the planet. Huge gratitude to for creating and holding the vision of our work together, and to for crafting such a forward-thinking role.

Simply knowing your purpose is good. But aligning your actions, words and culture with it will set you on a trajectory for greatness. 🚀✨

Several years ago I facilitated The Dig® for Jasmine Star...and today I have the great honor of sharing our podcast interview together. Big thanks to Lewis Howes for introducing us. 🙏

In this episode we talk about how lacking clarity impacts our confidence, and why confidence is critical to make a real connection with people, and getting what you really want in life.

I share a tool called Head-Heart-Core to help you access your deepest truth and communicate it with others in a short amount of time. I have taught this method at Bayer and recently ran a certification in the method at Google. Soon I'm launching a HHC certification that anyone can sign up for...stay tuned!

Hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I did recording it! You can also hear it on iTunes and Spotify.

Thank you Jasmine for being such a bright light in the world. ✨

Today George would have turned 49. If you’re around Boulder next Sunday, come celebrate his life with us. All are welcome - he wanted a big party. 🥳

I’m feelin’ all the feels while writing chapter 3 of my book by the fireplace in my unicorn onesie (maximum magical coziness 🦄). I like to imagine other great authors have this practice as well…lol

Also listening to the song “Beautiful Day” by and on repeat. It was inspired by Mike’s near death experience. Some lyrics…

If you’ve got love
then give it away
here’s to the joy and the pain
It’s a beautiful day
to be
alive.

Happy birthday G 🩷🎂

My usual practice has felt like too big of a commitment lately. But my is QUIET.

This is novel for me. I get paid to talk a lot and coach others to amplify their messages - so quiet moments are few and far between around here.

Right now in my world, my wise, 48-year-old soul brother is going thru hospice. And in the bigger world experience, there are countless other untimely endings too.

My mantra lately...

"Just love and let go."

(there's really no other way)

The quietness I'm embracing feels like winter after snowfall. Calm, almost eerie, like my visible breath frozen in time. The days feel like a liminal portal of grief and magic, release and re-birth, again and again.

Last week I did a photo shoot with the brilliant at his new studio downtown Boulder. Normally our shoots are light and airy. But on that day he pulled out his polaroid camera and asked: “How do you feel about a moody vibe for this one?”

Moody? Oh yes please.

If you need to give yourself permission to be quiet or dark or whatever else is creeping up for you right now, consider this your invitation to my proverbial blanket fort to hide or sulk or cry or whatever else.

I'm probably gonna be here awhile.

Oh heyyy. This is 47. 🎂🎉

Woke up this birthday morning in the Bay Area feeling so honored and happy to do work that I love. I’ve been at Google headquarters all day, training HR executives how to facilitate my Head-Heart-Core method for authentic communication. 🎤

This pilot program has been over a year in the making, and I have Jennifer and Carrie to thank for bringing it all together as my super-supporters within Google. 🙏🏻

Now I’m off to the beach to sip champagne with some of my Cali peeps, and will celebrate with my Colorado fam tomorrow. 🥂🌊🌅

My cup overfloweth with gratitude for this precious life, for my soul work and for the epic humans I get to associate with everyday.

Thank you, thank you, thank you….I am the luckiest.

I’m co-working with my bestie George and his dog Bella today, and we’re talking about what our should be. Mine is “persevere”. His is “consistent-regulation”. (I’m totally pro-hypen and pro-word-invention when necessary.)

Since George was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer on Christmas Day, perseverance and consistent regulation has been a necessity. Recently he was given a second Stage 4 diagnosis, and yet he keeps going…in his own way, in his own time.

So much so, that even while attached to tubes and carting around oxygen tanks, he rolled into a biz meeting last week and signed a new, amazing client. (He’s an incredible business coach and I am in awe of this man.)

For the past 9 months we’ve navigated the choppy waters of uncertainty together. We never know what the next day holds. I’ve learned the importance of saying YES to life. Despite the odds and because of them.

Whatever you’re going through, keep going.

My word of the week is BLOOM.

Awhile back my friend Lianda Swain came to visit, and she brought me two roses. I liked the juxtaposition of keeping these gorgeous, delicate roses watered in my "get s**t done" mug.

I believe gentle beauty and radical productivity can co-exist. Blooming is sometimes long and slow, and impatience doesn't make something (or someone) grow faster.

No one "gets s**t done" better than nature moving through its seasons!

I have begun the book writing process and I'm learning to allow the words unfold on the page as they are supposed to. I'm mindful of the deadline, but am gentle with my muse. (she doesn't like getting bossed around)

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, my parents had wall art in our home that said "Bloom where you are planted." I always assumed it was a slightly passive aggressive nudge to never leave our childhood town of Schaumburg. (which I promptly did immediately after college - sorry mom! 😆)

Many years later that wall art came up in conversation and my parents explained they interpreted it as choosing to flourish in whatever situation you are in.

May it be so. 🌹 🌹

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I got a book deal, y'all!!

It will be simply titled: The Dig. If you’re new to my world, The Dig is my method for helping people unlock their life purpose, and distill it down to just one word. From there you can align your life, career and message with it.

This photo is a very tired version of me and my adorable children in September 2012, exactly 12 years ago. Both kids gave me permission to share it - thank you Miles and Phoebe for being the best sidekicks ever! I could not have done this without you two. 💕

Sept. 2012 was the same month I created The Dig, and also started facilitating it with speakers for the first time in preparation for TEDxBoulder. Several of them went viral.

A year after this photo was taken, my old life withered and my new life bloomed. I went thru a divorce, moved to Boulder, sold my company Girls Fight Back and started my new business as a single mom, coaching thought leaders and facilitating The Dig.

It was a wildly uncertain (and stressful) time, yet somehow everything worked out. To date I’ve “dug” over 1,000 people and certified 13 facilitators. There have been so many people who have supported me along the way - that's a whole other post! 🙏

One of those awesome people led me to my book agent, Brandi Bowles. Brandi expertly led me to a deal with Hachette Book Group.

I'm excited to be working with Renee Sedliar as my editor there, and also to be collaborating with Jennifer Kasius on the manuscript. My book will be released in 2026, which seems like an eternity from now....

The book publishing journey has some twists and turns, but anything worth doing takes faith and grit.

Keep going. 🚀 📚
