Oakenday Press We are a small publisher focused on developing children's picture books that enhance environmental literacy and support ecological causes.

We are dedicated to inspiring children to seek a lifelong fascination and relationship with the wilds, and believe story and narrative are one of the best ways of doing so. As researchers, scientists, and scholars by day, we are authors and illustrators by night. In a world with low science literacy, anti-intellectualism, and misinformation regarding animal behavior, we hope to tell stories that w

ill engage children, increase literacy, and support environmental causes. Choosing to lead by example, 10% of the proceeds from every book published by Oakenday will be donated to support organizations relevant to its story. We love animals, we love nature, and we want to tell love-filled stories.
