🌲 Our First Segment: Chautauqua Park! 🌳
Chautauqua Park is one of Boulder’s gems and the perfect spot to spend a day immersed in outdoor activities! Whether you're up for a challenging hike or just want to enjoy some beautiful scenery, this park has something for everyone. 🏞️
👟 Royal Arch Trail
Looking for a long and rewarding hike? Try the Royal Arch! This trail is 2-3+ hours and can be quite tough, so come prepared with water, good shoes, and a mindset for a serious workout! 💦🥾 Along the way, you’ll encounter various trail branches, with options ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on your pace. The trail features rocky pathways, shaded wooded areas, and even a picnic table for those seeking a quick forest adventure! 🍃
🧗 Climbing at Chautauqua
This area is also home to climbing routes, particularly on the Flatirons. Keep in mind, climbing can be dangerous, so if you’re new to it, it’s important to do some research and be extremely careful. However, you can enjoy watching experienced climbers tackle the towering Flatirons before your very eyes! 🏞️👀
🌿 The Great Lawn
Looking for something more relaxed? Chautauqua also boasts a beautiful grassy area where you can unwind, have a picnic, or just bask in the stunning surroundings. 🌸 The grass here is perfect for spreading out a blanket and enjoying the views.
🚗 Parking Tips
Since this is a popular destination, parking can be tricky. We recommend parking on 9th or 10th streets and enjoying a warm-up walk to the park before starting your adventure! 🏞️🚶♀️
