Due to the heavy rain we’ve received over the past couple of days, severe flash flooding is happening across the district. Please BE SAFE as you venture out for work or as you head to the polls.

🌧️ Flash Flood Warning! Stay Safe! 🌧️
Due to recent heavy rains, our area is currently under a flash flood warning. Flash floods can happen suddenly, so please take precautions to stay safe! Currently in Steelville Main St. is shut down from Mobil to Action Auto Sales. Some areas have or are in the process’s of evacuating. If you are in low lying areas you may be affected. Please stay aware, and turn around, don’t drown.
Our dispatch has been evacuated but is setup remotely. All 911 calls will go to Phelps County 911 and redirected to the remote setup. Please be mindful of what an emergency is during this time.
Safety Tips:
• 🚫 Avoid driving or walking through flooded areas — it only takes a few inches of water to lose control of your vehicle or get swept off your feet.
• ⬆️ Move to higher ground immediately if you’re in a low-lying area or near streams.
• 📱 Stay informed by checking updates from local weather services and officials.
• 💼 Be prepared with essentials like water, food, and any medications you might need in case of emergency.
